Has anyone heard about August 2017 box? It should be soon, shouldn’t it?

I believe the Target box comes out the first Monday of every month, so not until August 7th…

I got my box today and aside from getting the foil packet for Frizz Ease, it’s also missing the Neutrogena moisturizer.

Is there a way to chat with customer service? I kinda don’t want to call… haha

I highly recommend doing the chat option! I just typed the sentence Recently I received your July Beauty Box and the John Freda frizz Ease came in a foil packet. But, it was advertised as being 1.0oz. Was asked for my email and order number. Received an apology and was told I could receive a refund. I said ok great. Then a moment later was told my refund of $7.42 was excepted. 100% didn’t see that coming! Anyways, received it in form of a Target gift card because I payed by using my Paypal account. But, works with me since I shop Target regularly!

Lauren

forgot to add the gift card was emailed to me and showed up while still chatting.

Amanda

There is a chat option on Target’s website, under Contact Us. A couple months ago, I couldn’t get it to work from my computer so I used the Target app instead, but this week it worked.

I know it seems trivial to complain about the foil packet of Frizz Ease.. but 1.0z advertised compared to the little packet seems a bit deceptive.

Trying to decide if it’s worth it to get a refund.

Helen

I did call and they gave me a 2 dollar credit for the John Freida goof! Worth the short call.

Amanda

Chatting with a Target rep worked for me and it was super easy. If you have a few minutes, might be worthwhile. At very least, they should know that we’re all unhappy when things are not as advertised!

Ok, so i tried and the guy was just like “Ok, I’ll pass this along to the appropriate team member! Thanks for your feedback”

I felt awkward asking for a refund or partial one, but he didn’t even act like that was option. So I just ex’ed out. $7 drug-store beauty box – can’t complain too much.

Amanda

I also got the foil packet, but the customer service rep I talked to gave me a full refund. The rest of my box was fine. Might have been the way I phrased it–“disappointed” and “the product was not as advertised”, but I did explain that the rest of the box was fine. YMMV

Same here except I was offered the refund via chat. I mainly bought this box for the Frizz Ease product – the 1 oz is the perfect size for an upcoming vacation. They rep was very nice, saying: “I’m sorry this is happening to you.” I mean I didn’t lose an arm in war or anything like that, but thanks for the refund lol!

I too received my box today & received a .15 oz foil packet vs the 1 oz John Frieda Frizz Ease Secret Weapon. I chat with a representative via their website & received a 10% refund (.70 cents) as a price adjustment. Not as good as $2, but oh well. I love all of the other products.

I don’t like complaining about such small things like a $7 thing I bought, but I don’t think a 10% refund is adequate. There were only 8 items in the box, and a 4oz of Frizz Ease is $5.39. The sample was supposed to be 1 oz. So that is $1.12 at least (and really more, because smaller sizes are more money.)

I bought the box for 2 things. The Frizz Ease and the Neutrogena make-up removers. Both are things I want to put in my travel bag. The Make-up removers were opened, and the sample was too small, so I was disappointed when I opened the box.

Again, hate calling to complain about such a cheap thing, but I did. They are giving me a full refund since the boxes are gone. So I can’t be mad, but it is a shame they said 1oz when it really was much less than that.

I got my box today, but instead of the 1 oz tube of the Frizz Ease, I got a dreaded foil packet. Disappointing! I called Customer Service and they said they didn’t have any replacement but did give me a $2 refund. I got it for the Frizz Ease, but I guess I’m happy with the rest for $5

Marie

Same here I got 2 boxes and that Frizz Ease was part of the reason I wanted the boxes. I admit I’m a bit peeved! The packet is so small too. I have long hair and I don’t think I’ll have enough for one full try. 😒

Does Target ever restock the boxes or once they’re gone, they’re gone?

Reply ButtonReply

Veronica

Good question. As long as I have been getting them (over a year). I’m pretty sure they won’t.

Reply ButtonReply

JuJu

Huh, the box is actually sold out! I thought maybe I should finally buy it, but I am not seeing it on the Target site anymore.

Reply ButtonReply

Tara

It sure is! I don’t think a target box has sold out in 4 days in months!

Came so close to putting this in my cart but on a “no-buy” for July (and August, I hope). Plus I really don’t need or even want anything in this box. I am so tempted by these boxes but then I look at the content and there’s nothing that wows me or that I would even use — the Neutrogena wipes being one exception but I’ll just pick up a pack if I need them.

I snagged one! This is my favorite box yet; I’ll use everything in it! And that setting spray is actually my preferred brand. I used my REDcard for 5% off + free shipping! And actually, I placed one order this morning for a few needed items. Waited for the $5 promo e-gift card to arrive, then applied it to a second order so this box only cost me $2.19! The setting spray alone costs $2.99 at Target.

Awesome box! Is there an additional coupon code to apply to this one? Yes, I had to ask!

Thanks for the early morning email alert or I would have totally missed this!

Great box- I’ll use everything. I like trying E.L.F. products- I’ve found some great products by them.

Veronica

I just tried to get one its says they are out.

Reply ButtonReply

Annabella

No, they have it, I just bought two. Try again?

Reply ButtonReply

Bria

Bought two! I use those neutrogena wipes every day and love them. I travel a lot and will definitely use the deodorant, I buy those all the time so I’m happy I started with subscription boxes. I’m making a gift box for my friend I’m visiting in Europe and she loves trying different American brands, so I’ve been setting aside things from boxes to give to her and she will love the masks.

Kerri

Same here I bought 2!!! My daughter yelled “YES” when I told her about the Neutrogena wipes haha. I love everything about this box! Woot, glad they let us buy 2 this month.

Marie

I haven’t ordered a Target box in awhile and I cancelled both my Walmart boxes but this one is too good to pass up! I ordered two. I love trying skincare products I haven’t tried yet. I enjoy deodorant samples and at one point didn’t have to buy any because I had so many from subscription boxes lol The headbands yassssss! I have long hair that I wear up in a bun or braided in the Summer and they’ll keep the tiny hairs that fly around out of my eyes and they look so cute! I’ll definitely use everything in the boxes.

AmyM

The best Target box in several months, IMO. I will abstain, however, as I am in the midst of a self-imposed ‘No-buy July’. Otherwise, I’d jump.

Reply ButtonReply

Samantha M.

I agree. It’s also better than both the Walmart boxes I received this month.

I haven’t been ordering Target boxes and I cancelled both my Walmart box subscriptions but this is one box I’m definitely loving! I just ordered two. I’m always on the lookout for skincare products I haven’t tried yet. I enjoy deodorant samples. At one point I had so many I didn’t need to buy any full size lol The headbands, yasssss because I have very long hair that I wear up in a bun or braided in the Summer and they’ll keep the tiny hairs that fly around out of my eyes and they look so cute! I’ll definitely use everything in the boxes.

This is perfect for me! I love secret gel, so it’ll be nice to try a new scented one, plus I’m going away for a few days and can only have 1-2 light bags, so it’ll be nice to have a mini. speaking of minis I also need some good travel moisturizers and face wipes to bring, so extra perfect. I’m always losing headbands, my hair gets frizzy, and I love peel off masks. The only thing I’m eh on is the elf spray, but I’ll probably lend this to friends when they get ready at my place or have me do their makeup, which’ll save my expensive UD one!

These boxes can be real hits or misses, so I’m glad this one is such an extreme hit!

Everyone seems to love, but I am passing. I don’t like the round headbands. I just discovered (and love) the Sephora FAB Coconut moisturizer. I don’t need setting spray, a travel deodorant, the peels, or more makeup remover. Feels wierd to pass, but to me it is the right thing to do.

Reply ButtonReply

Victoria

Also passed. None of the items were that new or exciting.

Reply ButtonReply

Melissa W.

I passed too… I just don’t need any of it.

Jodi

Finally, a good curation,1st purchase in over six months. Traveling next month, and will take this with me. It’s weird, but I love having a mini deodorant in my carry on – they’re just so pricey. Love the headbands. Thanks for the heads up!

I don’t buy drug store brands so I’ve never purchased a target box (only the baby box) but this one was really good! Wished I had read the comments first and gotten 2!

First one I’ve popped on in a few months

Great box! Got one, might order another one as 2 allowed per (didn’t see that when I ordered earlier). Will use everything but the John Frieda, which will go into the donation bag=the food pantry & soup kitchen I donate to accept toiletries.

I love the Neutrogena moisturizer, got a sample in a Wal-Mart box last year & bought the full size. It is super concentrated, just need a tiny bit for full face coverage. The small sample tube lasted much longer than I expected. I only wish the full size were packaged in a tube instead of a jar.

Yay I’ve been wanting to get the elf setting spray for a while but now I can get it with other things for only $7! Steaallllll.
