Oeno Beauty Lip Gloss in Champagne - Value $14

Champagne is one of three shades subscribers could receive and is an all-natural clear gloss with a hint of shimmer. It is great on its own but is also great layered over lip color when you need a little moisture. It is super moisturizing without being sticky and has great staying power. My favorite thing about this gloss is that the ingredient list is short and simple with lots of nourishing oils and no artificial fragrances. It is also free of parabens, sulfates, artificial fragrances, phthalates, GMOs, PPGs, MEA, DEA, TEAs, formaldehyde or triclosan. Awesome!

LA Girl Velvet Contour Stick (Blush) in Glimmer - Value $6

LA Girl Velvet Contour Sticks come in three types: highlighter, blush, and bronzer. This month, subscribers received a blush stick in the shade glimmer. It is a nice subtle pink with some shimmer that is easy to apply and blends to a velvety finish. I have a light skin tone and it took a couple of layers to get this shade to pop, but that is fine with me considering cream blushes are often too intense for me. I think this has the right amount of shimmer to make you glowy and flushed without being reflective. For $6, this is a great way to find out if you like cream formulas for your contouring!

Hikari Cream Pigment Eyeshadow in Mink - Value $13

This eyeshadow surprised me! I really love this shade but I thought it would be way too dark for me. It is actually perfect for many different eye looks. Mink is described as a “bright bronze with shimmer” and is perfect for your whole lid, as a liner, or just for a little metallic pop. The formula is soft and velvety with lots of shimmer and isn’t really a cream but more of a powder. It blends easily and has about the same intensity applied dry as it does when wet.

Manna Kadar Radiance Split Pan Duo Highlighter/Bronzer - Value $21

So, those of you who have been reading my past Sweet Sparkle reviews probably know what I’m going to say about Manna Kadar products. They are everywhere! This is honestly my least favorite item in this box for a couple of reasons. First, the bronzer is shimmery (I like matte bronzers) and too dark for my light skin. Secondly, this packaging is hard to get into and even harder to get the product out of. The little pans make it very difficult to pick up either side without getting them mixed up and you have to use a small brush. I’ll probably end up using the highlighter as eyeshadow and not using the bronzer at all.

Crown Deluxe Soft Highlight Fan Brush - Value $12.99

Kudos to Sweet Sparkle for sending us a brush to use with the highlighter/bronzer duo! This synthetic fan brush is perfect for applying highlighter to your cheekbones with a light feathery touch. The bristles are soft and not densely packed. I needed a nice light fan brush so I am happy with this.

All of the items swatched from top to bottom: lip gloss, blush contour stick, eyeshadow, highlighter, bronzer. So much glow!

Sweet Sparkle Glow June 2017 Makeup Subscription Box

A look with the gloss, highlighter, blush, and eyeshadow. I threw this on in about 5 minutes (so it was definitely a bit sloppy) but these products are forgiving because they are so subtle.

Verdict: Sweet Sparkle’s “Summer’s Glow” box has a value of about $67 plus free shipping. That is a lower value than previous months but still over double the cost of the box. All of the items were fitting for the theme of this box and, as always, full-sized. My favorite item is the lip gloss because it is all-natural and perfect for a light summer look. I hope next month the value increases and that there will be less brand repeats.

What do you think of the this month’s Sweet Sparkle box? Which products are your favorite to get the summer glow?

I actually really enjoy Sweet Sparkle, as they put together a whole look each month and their customer service is pretty good. But I gotta agree about the Manna Kadar, especially anything in a compact, like this and the Paradise blush. They are in waaaay too many boxes, the exact same shades, and the packaging is horrendous. Those compacts are too hard to open. Who’s going to ever use this after one try when it’s so hard to open? I don’t want to chip my mani just to open a little blush or bronzer.

Is Manna Kadar only made for sub boxes?! It’s getting to where I can’t stand the products anymore because I have 3 of those exact same bronzer duos from different boxes! The packaging is cheap, the pans were too tiny, the formula was way too shimmery to put on your face I tried it as eyeshadow but didn’t like that either. It’s getting to where I avoid boxes that keep sending it.

This is a great box. I just go month to month and cancel whenever I feel like it and start up again later.

It seems like Manna Kadar is the featured brand in this box. It’s been in every box that has been reviewed so far.

I saw a YouTube video of this month’s unboxing, and the quality of the products seemed pretty bad too, but maybe she just got a bad batch.

At one point I had 3 of those manna kadar bronzer/highlighter duos. I was able to find a friend to give one to and the other 2 have been sitting on my swap site ever since. Can’t give those things away. Have also gotten 3 of the fantasy shade highlighters/eye shadows plus tons of lip products. Just stop!!!

You can’t give them away because everyone who looks at sub box swap sites has them already – lots of them.

The Hikari eyeshadow is lovely. However, I still think Boxycharm is a much better value (and costs a few dollars less).

Cheap makeup box. I would never sub to this one.

Yuck Yuck Yuck.

Overpriced, underwhelming products. I would never pay that much money for those brands. Sounds like another box trying to make money off unsuspecting people.

Overpriced box for the brands and items you get, and yes, I agree, yet another Manna Kadar product? Sometimes, I feel they only sell to sub boxes (just kidding – but it is everywhere).

Yuck yuck yuck. Overpriced, bad brands, waste of money. Another bad makeup subscription box that is just out to make money.

This box seems quite overpriced for the brands you get.
