The info card this month comes as a row of postcards! Too cute! I love that they are repping many of the old school Sanrio characters in this one!

Lil' Keroppi is about to munch that watermelon, looking so cool in his green shades!

The crab pinching Tuxedo Sam's tail!! I CAN'T!!

I love the scenes of all the characters at the beach on the backside of all the item descriptions.

You can tear off the ends and send as postcards to your friends this summer!

Chococat Beachball Trinket

The first item is a little plastic beachball tag to hang off your bag or suitcase to bring a little fun to your luggage on a roadtrip this summer. Chococat is such a cutie.

Hello Kitty Beach Figure

Next we have a heavy plastic figurine of a translucent Hello Kitty featuring a scene of her wearing some red shades and eating ice cream under the sun. It even has actual sand at the bottom!

This is a really unique type of figure I've never seen before. I'm excited to post this up by my computer to bring some beach vibes inside my office.

Keroppi Charm

Other than the most popular Sanrio character, Hello Kitty, Kerokerokeroppi was my first love back in the late 80's/early 90's. I think he dropped off completely in the 00's and I hardly saw his merchandise at all. I'm so happy to see him represented in this crate, I've missed him so!

This one inch charm is made of enamel and metal, not unlike all the enamel pins out there lately. It has a small clasp you can use to clip him on to anywhere you'd like! I miss the days of cell phones having a little notch for charms, so I will probably have him join my rabbit friend on my keys.

Sanrio Characters Beach Towel

So many old faves repped on this summer-necessary beach towel. This standard-sized (27.5" x 57") towel features My Melody, Chococat, Keroppi, Hello Kitty, and one of my all-time faves, Tuxedo Sam as they frolic on the beach!

That crab is always taunting Tuxedo Sam! Why? Hello Kitty is ready to get in the water with her tube.

Chococat seems to by eyeing up that fish for lunch as My Melody builds a sand castle, and Keroppi relaxes in a hammock.

The quality of this towel is pretty decent, but it is on the thinner side. It's certainly plenty big to plop down and lay out on.

Sanrio Character Beach Tote

I know all I do is talk about "when I was young" and "oh, the memories..." but for real. This tote sent me back to the 80's when I had a tiny little plastic bag like this featuring Tuxedo Sam! It was striped and I think I may have gotten it at a birthday party. This is the big girl version of that beloved tote, and it's perfect for the beach, since it won't get wet and you can easily shake sand out of it!

Chococat! Just eat that fish already!

The bag features the same water scene on both sides and has all the same characters as the beach towel, engaged in a new set of activities.

At 14" tall x 9.5" wide x 3.5" deep, it fits the towel and flip flops from this season's box perfectly! There's still room for a magazine or book as well, and the handles hang about 9" so you can comfortably fit it over your shoulder.

Keroppi Flip Flops

The final summertime item we have are red and blue Keroppi flip flops. Subscribers were asked to enter their size for these to make sure you'd get the right fit. Yay! Keroppi looks so happy splashing around in his tube, surrounded by sea life.

They are really sturdy and the quality seems excellent. The part that Keroppi is featured on is like a swimsuit fabric material. The thong is rubber, and the sole is your basic flip flop foam.

Here's a closer look at the great craftsmanship.

Verdict: Sanrio Small Gift Crate's Summer Box was chock full of awesome stuff that screams to be taken to the beach! All of the items were cohesive and followed the same delightful summer fun vacation theme. I love that they featured many of my old school favorites here, even though I love the newer characters too (Hey, Gudetama!). I will probably get the most use out of the beach towel and bag, as I head to the pool this summer. Every item was designed exclusively for Loot Crate, so it's hard to know what value of each. This crate costs $39.99 ($34.99 plus $5 S/H), so I could easily value each of the larger items (beach towel, bag, flip flops) at $10 each and then the smaller three items at about $3 (give or take) to get break even. Since everything is licensed by Sanrio, I think the items are proably over that, to be honest. I'm excited to see what future seasons hold!!

What do you think of the third Sanrio Small Gift Crate?

I regret not getting notifications for this box earlier! 😢

This is by far my favorite crate! I’m using the tote as my purse because this is so cute! It’s always summer in Florida so this is perfect for me.

Flip flops were a bit too big they said size 7 but I’m swimming in mine. Guess I’ll have to change my size to small.

The boxes aren’t designed for children, these for us adults who used to go to the sanrio store when we were kids & buy stuff. Loot crates are all for teens & above. They have kid subscription boxes

I’m not usually a Hello Kitty fan, I much prefer Pusheen, but I have to admit that this crate turned out super cute! Love the little Hello Kitty beach figure! Also, great job on this review! Very detailed and you photographed the items wonderfully!

Thank you, Janie! Pusheen is totally crush-worthy, I agree. Sanrio is just the best at making cute stuff, especially that’s functional too! Hello Kitty figure = paper weight?

I was disappointed there were no kids shoe sizes to choose from. I get this box for a 7 year old. I picked ladies small, the smallest size available and they fit me. Loot Crate, some of your subscribers are kids.

Great feedback for them, Bets!

I was contemplating cancelling this sub because I am drowning in stuff and need to pare down my subs. But, man, these crates are so good. I don’t think I’ll stop anytime soon.

The only thing I didn’t like is that this sub came while we were in a trip to the Dells (waterpark extravaganza). It would have been awesome to have the tote, towels and flip flops there but that’s not really a fault just a missed opportunity.

I have a lot if figures and am running out of space to display them but I was so pleased with the Hello Kitty figure. I don’t have anything like it. I really love their take if a summer Hello Kitty figure.

I am waiting for a chococat pin. Which I expect they’ll do eventually. I’d also *swuee* over some Cinnamoroll. But, what I’d really love is a chibimaru pin and merch; however, they don’t seem to be featuring my favorite character. 🙁 Chibimaru!!!

Loba! I forgot about Cinnamoroll and Chibimaru! I myself am partial to Landry, but I don’t think he was super popular. Also love Purin and saw him show up on a lollipop in a snack box semi-recently. There are just too many sweethearts to want!
As far as getting overloaded with “stuff”, I feel you, and have been making friends care packages of things I can part with. Sometimes it’s hard, but I always keep Marie Kondo in mind and think “does this item truly bring me joy?” (after that initial *SQUEE* moment), and if not- it gets forwarded to someone who it WILL bring joy to!
Bummer about the waterpark trip! Sounds like you’ll have to just plan another visit? 😉

That Marie Kondo book was probably one of the best things I ever received from PopSugar! It has really helped me to let go of things.

5 days at the water park with a 2 year old, 5 year old and a husband who manages to sleep in and…well, I’m not “vacationing” there anytime soon. I am exhausted!

But I am sure we’ll visit the lake, local pools and maybe a day trip to a water park this summer. Those items will get a lot of use.

Cat

I miss Deery Lou and Dokidoki Yummychums and Queenie Lou…more Chococate and Badtz Maru too! Then I’d be all over this. Pusheen is just so much better. It sort of made me get over my lifelong HK love.

I didn’t realize Derry Lou was part if Sanrio! Cutest deer ever!!!

I am both glad and sad that this appears to be unavailable. I want every single thing in this box. I don’t *need* a single thing in this box. But….. soo cute!!

Need…want… who can tell the difference? JK, I know exactly what you mean! I never know I need some of these things until they are in a box in front of me!
