Famous Surf Supply 18 oz. Grom Water Flask – Value $23.90

Up first this month we have this heavy duty water bottle from Famous Surf Supply. I’m really digging the white, pebbly texture on this bottle. It feels nice in your hand. There are two lid options - one standard twist off and one with a sport-size opening that also has a swinging handle and carabiner. You get lots of options for transport here. Both caps have a grippy gumband ring, allowing you to easily get the lids off. The bottle itself says BPA free and I assume the caps are as well, though it doesn’t explicitly say. They are dishwasher safe though, so that’s cool! I do have a lot of water bottles, but I’m liking the design of this one a lot. It fits in my car's cupholder easily, and it kept my coffee hot for most of the day. The jute bag is a nice addition, though I don’t know what I’d use it for.

3V Gear Sidekick Utility Pouch – Value $8.25

Up next we have this handy utility pouch from 3V Gear! I’m a big EDC guy… I carry a lot of stuff with me that doesn’t get used a lot but I like knowing it’s there. Can you tell I was a scout growing up? Anyway, this pouch is a great size for all of that EDC gear I seemingly can’t live without. It’s also water resistant (not waterproof though - look at that vent hole in the bottom!) thanks to the 600 Denier PVC backed polyester. The inside back wall has 6 elastic organizer straps, perfect for a smaller flashlight, cables, tools, or mags if that is your thing. The main compartment is plenty big for a few field notes notebooks, phone, wallet, keys, and more. The front wall has a velcro pocket that would be good for smaller loose items like change, cards, etc. The front and back on the exterior are loaded with MOLLE straps, so it’s compatible with any backpack or bag that has more MOLLE. The button straps are heavy duty and would easily keep the bag attached. I don’t know that you’d necessarily wear this as it’s pretty big, but it could be a perfect organizer for any shoulder bag or backpack. I haven’t decided if it’ll be part of my personal EDC setup yet, but I can definitely see myself using it when camping or hiking.

Exotac FREEKey System – Value $6.49

I’ve heard of the FREEKey System before but never really had enough of an issue with a standard key ring that I felt the need to pick one up. Now that I’ve had my hands on it, I can definitely see the appeal. You just squeeze the ring on the opposite end of the opening, and the ring you attach to your key fits right in! The opening is tiny, and there is little to no chance of it opening up accidentally. Even if it does, there are 3 layers of ring that it would have to work its way around to fall off. That’s not gonna happen. You can also use the mini rings as organizers, and many keys should have openings wide enough that they don't even need to be on a mini ring at all.

B!g Sur Bar White Zest Bar – Value $2.95 (buy a pack of 3 for $8.85)

Last but certainly not least, we get this unbelievably delicious treat from B!g Sur Bar. It looks like they come in a variety of flavors, but I received the White Zest bar and it was amazing. The bottom half is essentially a blondie, and then it’s topped with coconut, orange zest, raisins, almonds, pecans, and white chocolate chips. It’s really good. Like, really good. It’s very rich, so much so that I split it up over two days. There is a lot of sugar here (45g in the full bar), but also some good protein (12g in the full bar), so this could be a good trail treat or afternoon booster snack every once in a while. I wish I could eat them all the time though.

Verdict: Nomadik delivered a solid box this month. They promise “up to $50 worth” of items in each box, and the values I found at the manufacturer’s sites differ slightly from the info card, but still add up to $41.59. I’m considering making the water bottle my daily driver for coffee, and wow I still can’t get over the white zest bar. The other two items I know I’ll use but just not as often. I think the curation was perfectly on theme though.

What do you think of Nomadik this month? Did you get a different colored bottle or pouch? Different B!g Sur Bar?

Quick note on the Big Sur bars–I received the “original” flavor and used the 20% coupon code to order additional bars. They’re great for pre and post workout. But I’ve never ordered from a company that was so responsive! They updated my order ticket several times to let me know when the bars would be baked, when the package was assembled, and finally with tracking information and approximate delivery date. If I wasn’t sold on Big Sur before, with this level of customer communication I definitely am now.

I am thrilled to hear that, because I’m about to use my coupon to stock up! I really enjoyed the one I got and have to try the other flavors

I thought this box was great. I got the same water bottle, but in the stainless color not white. I love the two options for caps that they give you. I’ve been wanting a stainless water bottle that has a flip cap on it for a long time and am quite pleased with this one especially as it also includes a carry handle.

I believe if you signed up today you would receive July’s box. Their site states that each month’s box ships on the 25th of that month. I received this box for review on July 13. Hope that helps!
