The box came with this information card, which basically directs you to their website. I have to admit, I liked the old brochures more – you could instantly tell which snacks were vegan, gluten free, etc. Now you have to read the tiny print of the ingredients lists, instead…Anyway, there are also usually some coupons and/or product literature.

Cosmos Creations Premium Puffed Corn in Salted Caramel (0.5 oz) – Value $0.60 (buy a box of 12, 1.25-ounce bags for $17.88)

I liked this a lot. It was sweet and relatively low in calories. More caramel than salt, but I’m OK with that. I would’ve used some Love with Food points to get more of this – it stands up to the heat well and is more pleasant than rice cakes, which have otherwise similar nutritional value – but it doesn’t seem to be available in their shop.

Love with Food Deluxe July 2017 Healthy Snack Subscription Box

Bandar Garlic Naan Chips (1 oz) – Value $1.50 (buy a pack of 12 for $18)

I’ve had these several times before. They are tasty but I would not eat them in public. The garlic stays with you. And stays with you. And stays with you. (And I don’t usually have a problem with garlic.) These would be good with hummus, too.

Love with Food Deluxe July 2017 Healthy Snack Subscription Box

The Daily Crave Veggie Chips (0.6 oz x 2) – Value $1.70 (buy a pack of 20 for $16.99)

I’ve also had these before. They are basically potato flour and potato starch with a tiny, tiny bit of vegetable-based food coloring (think spinach, etc.). They are quite plain and really need a dip or spread.

Love with Food Deluxe July 2017 Healthy Snack Subscription Box

Emmy’s Organics Dark Cacao Organic Coconut Cookie (0.67 oz) – Value $0.83 (buy a case of 12, 3-count bags for $29.95)

I’ve also had these before. But I am OK with that because they are made from coconut and are chocolate flavored and it is hard to go wrong with that combination.  I wish there had been more.

Love with Food Deluxe July 2017 Healthy Snack Subscription Box

Watusee Foods Organic Chickpeatos in Tomato Basil (1 oz) – Value $0.72 (buy a 5-ounce bag for $3.59)

I’ve had these from food subscriptions 2 or 3 times in the past year. They are decent although I think they could stand to have more salt to really bring out the flavors. The texture is good, but I tend to prefer the chickpea snacks from Saffron Road for flavor reasons.

Love with Food Deluxe July 2017 Healthy Snack Subscription Box

Ocean’s Halo Almond Seaweed Strips (0.88 oz) – Value $3 (buy a case of 10 for $29.99)

Aha, yet another thing I’ve had before. If you are thinking of getting into seaweed snacks, Ocean’s Halo is where to start. The almond/seaweed combination works better than expected and gives these a more substantial feel than just eating those paper-thin seaweed snacks.

Love with Food Deluxe July 2017 Healthy Snack Subscription Box

Aloha Peanut Butter and Jelly Protein Bar (1.9 oz) – Value $2.50 (buy a box of 12 bars for $30)

I am a regular consumer of protein bars but I actually hadn’t tried these before. They are vegan and do include pea protein, which is not usually my favorite. However, the texture of this was better than a lot of vegan protein bars, and you could actually taste both nuts and fruit in it. I will probably stick to dairy-based protein bars but would be just fine with receiving this in a different flavor in some other month.

Love with Food Deluxe July 2017 Healthy Snack Subscription Box

Nabisco Teddy Soft Bakes (1 count) – Value $0.50

This came in a box that said “free sample inside” but if you want to buy them, they appear to cost about fifty cents. I noticed these when I was haunting Amazon during Prime Day. They are kind of what I imagine Twinkies would be like with chocolate filling (but I haven’t eaten a Twinkie for like 30 years so I might be off a bit in that assessment). I found them kind of dry, honestly, and (surprisingly) they were vegetarian.

Love with Food Deluxe July 2017 Healthy Snack Subscription Box

Dick & Jane Educational Snacks States & Capitals (1 oz) – Value $0.87 (buy a box of 16 for $13.99)

We received the Presidents version of these a few months back and they were really hard to tell apart. The states are much easier to identify. At any rate, these are basically plain vanilla cookies. You would have to eat a LOT of bags of these to get all 50 states.

Love with Food Deluxe July 2017 Healthy Snack Subscription Box

Belgian Boys Mini Cookie Stash (1 oz) – Value $1.20 (buy a box of 5 bags for $5.99)

This is another repeat item. These have a similar flavor to the states and capitals cookies but I like the texture a lot better, at least as far as packaged cookies go.

Love with Food Deluxe July 2017 Healthy Snack Subscription Box

Nothing but the Fruit Raspberry Chia Fruit Bites (0.9 oz) – Value $1 (buy a box of 5 bags for $4.99)

Despite the label, these don’t have much raspberry in them. The first three ingredients are apple puree, grape juice concentrate, and apple juice concentrate. While they are vegan and they taste pretty good, they really have more sugar than I would like to eat on a regular basis.

Love with Food Deluxe July 2017 Healthy Snack Subscription Box

Nothing but the Fruit Concord Grape Fruit Bites (0.9 oz) – Value $1 (buy a box of 5 bags for $4.99)

These were not super distinguishable from the raspberry ones (which were maybe a little more tart). I’m not always a fan of the Concord grape flavor, but it wasn’t too strong or artificial here. These were also super high in sugar; I know fruit naturally has a lot of sugar but the juice adds so much more.

Love with Food Deluxe July 2017 Healthy Snack Subscription Box

Yummy Earth Organic Blueberry Lollipops (2 count) – Value $0.31 (buy a half pound bag for $5.05)

You’ll always get a few small candies in Love with Food. I’m pretty sure we’ve had these before as well. I feel like you can tell the flavors of these lollipops apart more than with some other brands, though of course, the ones I received are both the same flavor.

Verdict: I calculated a value of about $15.73 for the July 2017 Love with Food Deluxe Box. That is definitely below the month-to-month cost of the box. However, like usual, I will remind you to (1) buy a multi-month deal and use our MSA20 or DELUXE10 coupon and (2) write your reviews and use your points to get free snacks for the shop.  If you do both of those, you will get a better deal. (Don’t forget they donate meals, as well.)

Once again, there were a LOT of repeats this month (mustache cookies, veggie chips, Chickpeatos, macaroon, naan chips, lollipops), which is a little disappointing. On the other hand, I did learn about a few new products (e.g., the Aloha bar), and everything was vegetarian this month (you can’t count on that; sometimes you will get jerky/cured meats, gelatin-containing gummies, or pork rinds). For what it’s worth, they did a good job of sending things that won’t melt in the heat. (I had a liquefied chocolate bar a few months back and they were really gracious about it when I emailed them.)

Unfortunately I had to cancel as my sub runs out next month so August will be my last box. As a Canadian we can’t even redeem our points and I’ve accumulated a lot. I’ve contacted them several times throughout the year but keep getting told that they are trying to make that international. With the conversion it costs about $30 a month including shipping, so sadly not worth it for me anymore=( it’s great that they donate food to shelters but in might’ve we’ll just donate locally.

This box was ok for me……so many repeats which can be good and bad. I do love the point system and for 50 points each i don’t mind. i just got a free box of those super thin chocolate cookies….they come 5 in a pack. really good imo. i wish they had more items for sale. I did get a mystery box once too.
Although those fruit things are kind of misleading imo i loved both kinds, raspberry more.
Seaweed went in trash after tasting. I love the lollipops and wish i could get those with points.
I like the educational cookies even tho they taste like sawdust is mixed in. had these before too.
Veggi chips are blaaaa.
Looking forward to trying the bear and caramel corn.

Just wanting to add that I tried the caramel corn puffs and omg. I’m glad they were in little bags (not really). I would buy these in a second.

I’m looking forward to getting the fruit bites in my tasting box. The seaweed, not so much.

I don’t mind the gifs in the surveys. I think they’re cute. I remember that Love with Food did do a feedback survey a while ago & asked about this.

My year-long sub for the Tasting box expires next month and I just cancelled yesterday. I’ve been getting ALOT of repeats the past few months even with the smaller box….and I’ve already had most of the items featured in this month’s Deluxe box too apparently. Some items I actually tried from some of the mystery boxes 6 months or so ago. I would have thought items end up in mystery boxes AFTER they are featured in the main boxes but I’m not sure…. The sub was good to introduce me to some new brands and items but I just didn’t find alot of value in it and there wasn’t alot that “wowed” me or made me seek it out to buy again. The points that you can redeem for products in the shop are good but I found myself dreading the long process of going through the gif-ridden surveys. I think I’m just burned out so I’ll take a break for awhile. The charity aspect is certainly nice, though…

OK, I hate the new GIF-ridden surveys as well. They used to be quicker to fill out. I might send them an email about that. They have been receptive to other suggestions I’ve given.

I will probably be filling out a lot of surveys today. I just had oral surgery and am home for the next few days and really don’t know what to do with myself.

I’m sitting here having come from the oral surgeon also. Extractions aren’t fun and they make eating the items in snack boxes a challenge. I don’t know what you had done but I’m on liquid/soft foods for a few months. My family thinks it’s great that they get to “share/steal” my monthly snacks.Feel better soon Ragan.

Oh no! Hope you recover soon! I think a major part of my problem is that I got months behind on my surveys so when I decided I was going to cancel, I sat down and tried to catch up all at once. Some of the surveys were 15 questions…for EACH product! It almost got to the point where I was clicking anything just to be done (and I don’t think that provides very good info to them anyways). The ultimate kicker was in my last Tasting box I got a coupon for a product…and got a survey for that (as if it actually counted as one of that month’s items?!?!). Great for points, but needless to say it got pretty low ratings. LOL. But I eventually managed to catch up and scored one of their camping mystery boxes for free (not very good variety since there were multiples of each item sent but I enjoyed the products even more than the monthly boxes so fine by me!). Now I’m just going to sit back and enjoy some time without the “work” of keeping up with this sub while finishing off my goodies from it. 😉
