I received a coupon from them in the mail for $5 off – that was weird. Never seen that from a beauty box subscription. Why not just email me the offer?

Irene

Does anyone know if any $$ off promos for the August Box?

Tess

BFIX5AUGDS17 I used this for five off

I received this Luna Play and it only lasted for about 40 of the 100 uses. I took it apart the the issue wasn’t the battery. Water was inside of my water-proof device and was a short in the circuit between the battery and the switch. When I stuck in a piece of metal to make the connection, the battery was stronger than the last time I used the device. This is an insane malfunction to have with a $39 product!

I actually didn’t like the one I had at all; it made my skull vibrate in an unpleasant way. I let my cat Sneaky run off with it (she bites silicone things).

BeautyFix sent me a coupon via snail mail. I guess they are looking for me to resubscribe. But the spoilers aren’t doing it for me. I still have half the container of that Juice Beauty cleanser from the last time they sent it.

Cindy

I applaud you for determining the cause and fixing it. Hope I can find this post if it should happen to me.

Amy

The second spoiler is the juice beauty cleanser. It’s on intagram now❤️

I wouldn’t mind trying this even though I have a few or these type of items- not this one though. I will wait to see a couple more spoilers. Plus, I don’t want the july box at this time.

Not sure why, since I already am a Beauty Fix subscriber, but Dermstore sent me a card in the mail to save $5 on a new subscription. The card mentions that the August box contains a full-size Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Cleanser in addition to the Foreo Luna Play “and more,” so I guess the Juice Beauty cleanser is spoiler #2. The card also states that the box has a value “over $133.”

What are the thoughts out there on this JB cleanser? I have dry, mature skin. Thanks!

Reply ButtonReply

Renee

I am 57 and like the JB cleanser. I’m about out from the last time they sent it, so yay!

Tara

It’s definitely the juice beauty cleanser. Between the card they sent you and the Instagram hint that the second spoiler is full size, works with the luna mini and is worth $22 all fit the description. It’s the same cleanser sent out last October.

thanks for sharing!

Do you have the link to the eBay one you got?

Reply ButtonReply

JuJu

Although I see a few of them listed there now for $45. And there is one that’s currently $34 total, but it’s on auction for another 5 days.

JuJu

The link doesn’t work anymore, I bought it four months ago.

On Instagram, Dermstore says the second full size spoiler is coming this weekend, it will complement the little scrubber ball (a cleanser?), and retails for $22!

Tanya

Thank you Andy heading off the ‘gram

JuJu

So far – pass, I have the Luna Mini. 🙂

I’ve noticed the spoilers are always for the full-size products. Since I’ve tried the Foreo before (see review below), I’m a little hesitant to restart my subscription. Since there are usually 2 or 3 full-size items and this is a more expensive product, I wonder if the other samples will be tiny again.

I bought a Clarisonic and full-sized Foreo to test and ultimately ended up returning the Foreo. I had acne and dry skin and I could always see a difference in my skin after using the Clarisonic. I didn’t see a difference in using the Foreo and felt like it was just vibrating my skin (apparently it may be good for wrinkles?). Some recommended using the Foreo to massage products into your skin, but it just got stuck in between the grooves of the device. Good opportunity to try through the BeautyFix box though. Regardless, can’t wait for more spoilers!

OK, so I was the only one saying, WTF is this ball thingy?!??

I’m cancelling until I see something I really want/need. This is one gadget I can live without 😕

I received one of these in an Allure box last year. It worked maybe five times and was extremely difficult to turn the device on or off. With that being said, I don’t understand why anyone would throw the device away instead of repurposing it. Some have said it makes a great brush cleanser. I personally just use it manually….it may not have the full effect, but it’s a great little manual cleanser!

Reply ButtonReply

Kris

Yea!! 👏🏻I purchased one of these for my daughter about 7+ months ago and it’s still working great! It’s a nice way to try the Foreo out before shelling out $100+ on a full sized one! I do have to say that after trying hers out a few times that I still prefer my Clarisonic like brush (I have the Olay version). Although this will be great for travel or as a replacement for my daughters!!

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

I use the Olay version too! I’ve been using it for over 5 years, and I will never stray from it. 🙂 I’ve given away all Foreo’s, konjac sponges, & other cleansing brushes/cloths I’ve received in boxes, plus even turned down a free Clarisonic from a friend who offered to get me one for Christmas. I really like how the brush rotates rather than vibrates, which makes me feel like I’m getting a better cleanse. Plus, I love that the heads are pretty inexpensive too!

Reply ButtonReply

elle

what is this??????????????????

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

It’s a facial cleansing device. If you click on the link MSA provided there’s a detailed description of it.

Reply ButtonReply

Laurie

I have one and it works well. It comes in a nice plastic case too. The only downfall is that once the battery dies you have to toss it out as it’s non replaceable and rechargeable. In the plus side it will take a long time to die. You can get full sized models on Amazon for much cheaper than the Foreo and they’re every bit as good.

Reply ButtonReply

Elizabeth

I will never understand the purpose of a product like this that can’t be re-charged. That is such a waste and will be clogging up a landfill before you know it. I have been considering purchasing the chargeable version or a Clalirsonic.

Reply ButtonReply

Christine H.

I have had my Clarisonic for 5 years. And I love it. All you have to do is replace the brushes…which are not very expensive. And you have several you can choose from. I’ve never had a single issue with mine. The initial cost to buy the unit is a little expensive but, IMO, totally worth the price. That being said, I’m interested to try the Foreo…that might be easier to travel with.

Reply ButtonReply

Lexie

I agree.

I understand that sometimes people just can’t help it. But considering that Foreo often has great sales and the mini, while twice the cost of this one, will last forever. I purchased mine 18 months ago and STILL have not needed to recharge it, using it everyday.

Amy

I feel the same.

I’m thrilled!!!!

Beautyfix remains a dependable box for me. They might have a less thrilling month here and there, but overall, the quality and value are reliably very high. I looked through my last several BF info cards the other day and discovered that I’ve enjoyed about 85% of what they send, and a large percent of those products have been fabulous discoveries. I’m willing to accept the occasional less than amazing box from them because of their track record and great CS.

Reply ButtonReply

Veronica

Couldn’t have said it better myself.

TK

I always love BF and I will enjoy using this gadget for as long as it lasts. I wonder if Foreo is coming out with a new model soon because BB was giving them away as GWP and I just got one in a Neiman’s GWP and now in the BF box??? BF always has several products that are new to me and I’m excited to try. I just started using the microneedle last week and don’t notice any results yet but nothing negative either. My face feels like I have a slight sunburn after using. I use a skinmedica serum after and the redness is gone in an hour or so.

Reply ButtonReply

vanessa

I’ve been using the roller once a week since we got & I see results! I hope it works for you. It was a gem to get in a box.

Reply ButtonReply

Amanda

I tried it before but returned it because it is okay but not life changing and it’s expensive. I know it is supposed to last 100 times but after like 7 uses I feel like the umph of the battery was already dying. I am not surprised it only lasted someone 13 uses before it died, which is pathetic. Oh well.

Reply ButtonReply

Amanda

I have tried it before but I heard it doesn’t last the 100 uses like it should (some people it only lasted like 13 which is pathetic). I returned mine because I thought it was okay but not worth the money especially if it doesn’t last the 100 uses.

Tara

I love all the tools they send. I got a similar brush like this from tarte and didn’t love it so I’m hoping this one is better. The price point is way higher so hopefully!

Vlasta

That’s awesome! I’ve been wanting to try it. I missed it when birchbox offered it as a free gift with a $35 purchase. But now I get it in my $24.95 box!😃

Reply ButtonReply

heather

but I want the August box, not July! When do I sign up to get August?

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

I’ve read that if you wait until the first of the month, then you should get that month’s box.
