Unique Vintage 1950s Style Bright Blossoming Floral St. Pierre Wiggle Dress, Size S – Value $98
This pattern is so perfect for me. I love bright, bold florals. I like the look of the style very much, too. This is the first time I have received a really fitted skirt from Unique Vintage, though, and it is taking some getting used to. It is difficult to walk up the stairs (something I suppose I took for granted) in this skirt, and getting it up over my hips to use the restroom is a bit of a challenge, too. I guess this would be an issue for anyone who, like me, is a smaller size on top than on bottom–this was pretty comfortable, even roomy, on the top, and going up a size there would not have worked. I think if just a teeny bit more stretchiness had been incorporated into the fabric (this was 97% cotton, 3% spandex), it would be perfect. And I am still going to wear it, at least in the summer when it is too hot to climb the stairs to my office because I like the print so much!
Verdict: The dress I received from Unique Vintage this month has a value of $98, which is well above the cost of the subscription, plus shipping. I love the style and fabric quite a lot, I am just kind of small on top and need a few quick alterations to make it fit perfectly.
