This month's menu from Luke's Diner lists out all of our items. The menu also informs you of any sales and contests going on.
The back of our menu features an ad for horseback rides at the Dragonfly Inn. It also has an ad for ÖÖÖ-BER with the simple instructions to just "Call Kirk's Mom"!
4 Placemats - Listed Value $19.99
The first items in this month’s “Luke” box are four placemats. The mats are two-toned and have the “Luke’s” image in the lower left corner. These had a slight plastic smell when I first opened the package, but they aired out quickly. The information booklet lists these as “easy clean,” and they are really sturdy! These are cute for an outdoor dinner, and I appreciate that there are four included!
Set of 2 Dinner Plates + 2 Dessert Plates - Listed Value $29.99
The perfect thing to put on top of the placemats are these plate sets!
The dessert plates have a bright, summery plaid print. The information booklet doesn't specify whether these are dishwasher or microwave safe, so I'm going to play it safe and hand-wash these.
The set also includes two dinner plates which are the same sturdy plastic as the dessert plates.
The rim of the plates features cute sketches of all things Gilmore: coffee, takeout containers, coffee, umbrellas, and more coffee!
Set of Luke’s Old-Fashioned Mason Jar Glasses - Listed Value $19.99
Rounding out the dining set are these mason jar glasses. I like to use mason jars for regular drinking glasses or Instagram-worthy milkshakes, so these feel like the perfect glassware for the Luke's box. I'm not sure if Luke would ever serve something as twee as overnight oats in mason jars, but I'll gladly try it out!
Bonus Item - Luke's Diner Magnet
This month also included a fitting bonus item - the no cell phones sign that's lived in Luke's Diner forever!
Verdict: This month's box had a Luke's Diner theme, and it felt perfect for summer dining! I really liked the total set (which, based on the listed values, had a value of about $70) and thought that the plates were the cutest part. I really enjoyed getting a whole set that I can use together. Plus, I can add the bowls and wine glasses from previous boxes if I want an entire Gilmore themed dining experience! I tend to prefer homewares over other subscription box items so this month was a hit for me.
