The other side features a Moscow Mule (yessss!) recipe using the enclosed Ginger Ale Syrup. Doesn't that look refreshing?!

*Please note that there seems to be a typo and the ginger ale syrup measurement should read 3/4 oz, not 4 oz)

Ginger Ale Syrup, 4 oz. - Value $10.00

This beautiful little bottle of ginger ale syrup is new to me. When I make Moscow Mules, I normally opt for ginger beer, but the enclosed recipe calls for this syrup with sparkling water instead. The syrup smells super ginger-y and awesome, and after mixing with sparkling water pretty much tastes exactly like ginger beer. Impressive!

There is also a one-glass recipe on the bottle, which is perfect for single ol' me.

Stainless Steel Double Jigger - Value $4.99? (similar from Bed Bath & Beyond)

I actually already have a differently sized jigger, but I noticed that this one has the exact measurements (3/4 oz, and 1 1/4 oz) that the recipe calls for, so I'm tickled pink that they've included this. The one I have is taller, and I get easily confused when reading different cocktail recipes because the measurements don't always seem standard.

Gingerbread Chocolate Covered Pretzels, 0.95 oz. - Value $4.50

WHY ARE THERE ONLY THREE OF THESE IN THE PACK? WHYYYY?! Ok, sorry. These are delish and I need more, right now. Speculoos Butter had a big moment a handful of years ago, and I kind of ignored it, like a fool. Now that I have these crumbly Speculoos-n-chocolate-covered pretzels, I understand the craze.

Lemon Ginger Blueberry Chocolates, 6 oz.? - Value $8.00

Sounds like a lot of flavors going on at once, but it all somehow works together. Blueberries aren't my number one fruit, but I really love lemon + ginger, and these are coated with white chocolate that is infused with both. This is a good little-sized box of them too with handsome packaging.

Beach House Buzz Snack Mix, 8 oz. - Value $10.00

Nut mixes go hand in hand with drinking, and this tin of nuts, dried cranberries, and dark chocolate espresso beans is a tasty combo. Mmmm those chocolate espresso beans are the perfect amount of sweet to cancel out the salty nuts. Once I started into this mix, it was a bit hard to stop.

Verdict: For their very first box, I think Spices & Co. did a great job putting together a classy curated box to help you get the happy hour drinks flowing. I really like that they have a marketplace to reorder anything you tried that you liked. I wish all boxes did that! I enjoyed their selection of snacks, fully approve the Moscow Mule pick, and am happy they included the specifically-measured jigger. That being said, the total value I tallied up only came to $37.49, which is slightly under the $40 box cost. Since shipping is free for subscriptions, it's few dollars difference doesn't phase me too much. I'd love to see what else they come up with in future months!
