Sock Panda is a subscription service that sends two pairs of socks to your tween (ages 9-11 years old) every month. What a fun way to get new socks!

Sock Panda Tween June 2017

The Sock Panda tween plan comes with two pairs of socks “…size 6-8 which ranges between ages 9-11.” My daughter has a big foot for a 7-year-old and while the kid’s size Panda Pals socks still fit her, I noticed some socks we received were a bit small so we moved to the tween socks. Some of these socks are big but I’d rather have them a little big than a bit too small and my daughter thinks they fit just fine.

Sometimes the socks looked big to me when we pulled them from the package but they both fit my 7-year-old, Cira, just fine.

I think these socks are cute but Cira gave them a thumbs down. I think they might have been a little too “boy” for her but while I understand, I don’t think they necessarily look like boy socks. The colors are cute and the design is good too.

These are so cute! The colors are bright and I like the soft band around the top of their longer socks. My only wish is that Sock Panda would send more short socks for the summer months. Kids don’t typically wear a lot of socks in the summer.

These socks are made from 85% Peruvian cotton, 10% nylon, and 5% spandex. They have a nice soft touch. Our Sock Panda socks wash well and we’ve seen very little fading of colors. They aren’t as thick as some of socks we have (i.e. The Gap) but they have a lot more stretch to them so I have a feeling Cira will be able to wear these for a longer time period.

Verdict: We think Sock Panda is such a fun way to get something useful. We’ve received the Tween subscription for about six months and we think the designs are fun. I’d like to see some fashion-forward designs included in the future though.

As for the value, printed socks range in price from about $4.00 to almost $10.00 per pair depending on where you buy them. These socks are $8.00 a pair and depending on your kid’s sock size, they can be worn for many years. Plus, for every pair new subscription Sock Panda donates a pair of socks to someone in need. Sure, you can get cheaper socks but these are fun and unique and the designs are great! We like Sock Panda.
