Orglamix June 2017 Beauty Subscription Box

Orglamix is a vegan and cruelty-free beauty subscription containing loose shadows, glitter pigments, aromatherapy roll-ons, and more. Many of the items in the subscription will be unique to the subscription and not available in the Orglamix shop (although they will have the same great formula).

They are now doing custom box prints every month and they’re quite pretty.

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

The box came with an information card detailing the items for June as well as the monthly theme (“I’d rather be a mermaid”).

Rainbow Fish Contour Makeup Brush – Value $16.99

I don’t have any brushes like this. It is kind of large but will fit in a blush or a larger highlighter pan (I don’t do bronzer). I feel that it gives more precise application than a fan brush.

Mermaid Vibes Holographic Trio – Listed Value $19

These actually look pretty subtle on (though they did show up kind of bright in the swatch photo below). I am not yet at the stage where I have too many highlighters (I mean, I probably have like 15 but that doesn’t seem like too many to me) and these are different from anything in my collection. They do blend pretty well, too.

Mermaid Hair Don’t Care Nourishing Hair Mask – Listed Value $16

I love hair masks. I use them a couple of times a week. My hair is color treated and tends to be dry, and I think this helped soften it quite a bit.

Mermaid Kisses Organic Lip Scrub – Listed Value $12.50

This is a practical item with a fun touch.  It was about time for me to get a new lip scrub, anyway. This is one type of lip product I’d rather have in a jar than on a stick, and because you are putting your finger in there, I worry they get dirty, so I tend to cycle through them pretty quickly. This was effective and didn’t leave my lips feeling oily.

Mermaid Tears Natural Eyeshadow – Listed Value $12.50

You’ll usually get one loose eyeshadow (sometimes more) with this subscription. Most of the time, the colors are exclusive. This month it was a beautiful blue color. This is a bit bold for a lid color for me, but I can see it working in the outer corners of the eye or maybe as a liner. I do like the formula of these shadows quite a bit.

Here are swatches of the highlighters and the eye shadow.

Verdict: I calculated a value of about $77 for the June Orglamix subscription box. I had to take most of the values from the information card because many of the items were exclusives, but the price of the eyeshadow, for example, is right in line with non-exclusive shades from the Orglamix shop. I enjoyed the theme this month and found the items particularly relevant to me (love getting a hair mask instead of, say, sea salt spray).

What do you think of the June 2017 Orglamix box?
