Each MissionCute box comes with an inspirational info card. The back of the card notes that this month's proceeds go to the American Autoimmune Related Diseases Association, Inc.

Wet Brush Detangle Brush - Value $6.00

I love the petite size of this brush. It's super portable for throwing into a tote for after the gym or pool. I use a large detangling brush every day (though I'm not sure it's the same brand), so I'm familiar with the way these designs claim to ease pulling on the scalp. Glad to now own a mini, travel version!

Beach Cover-Up/Blanket - Value $10.00?

My MissionCute box did not come with a product information card this month. It made figuring out the intended use for certain items, like this one, pretty tricky. I took this large, circular piece of fabric to be either a sarong or some type of beach blanket. Maybe it doubles as both (I'd use it for either!). The MissionCute website doesn't give much additional information around box items, so let's just go with that. Even though it's a nice size at 5 or so feet in diameter, the fabric is very thin and cheap feeling. I'm also not a huge fan of the print, so I'd probably only use this as a beach cover-up if I didn't have anything else. This is definitely the 'big ticket' item in the box, but... I'm not really impressed. I just guessed at the value based on the quality of the piece.

Pineapple Sippy Cup - Value $1.99

I'm actually leaving for a beach trip tomorrow, so this pineapple cup (and the whole box, really) came at the perfect time. I can't wait to fill it with lemonade for mornings at the shore. Again with the quality, though. With its flimsy outer shell and single use straw, this cup didn't thrill me.

Mavi Bandz Keychain? - Value $2.00?

Okay, honestly, I had absolutely zero clue as to what this was initially. Going off of the sticker on the front, it's an "adjustable, non-slip headband.'' But, no. This thing is 6" laying flat, so there's no way it's fitting on even a child's head. Is it simply a keychain? There's a key ring attached, and the band material is quite sturdy, so... Again, the MissionCute website is no help. I will try attaching this to my keys, but it's pretty large for my everyday bag. It'll probably end up in the trash, since I genuinely have no use for it. What a shame.

Nature's Bakery Blueberry Fig Bar Twin Back, 2 oz. - Value $0.47 (Buy a pack of 6 for $2.78 at Walmart)

The saving grace of this box—a snack! Fig-filled bars always provide that sense of nostalgia for me, so they're just a delight to eat. This one was really tasty, and it's nice that 2 come in a pack. Sharing is caring!

Verdict: This MissionCute box had a nice beach theme going on, but I really had trouble with some of the items. First off, it would have been immensely helpful if an info card detailing each product was included. Even something on their website would be nice. Even though I love that MissionCute's aim is rooted in donating to some incredible charities, I was left scratching my head with this box. With an estimated $20.45 value, the box doesn't come close to being worth $39.99.

This is exactly the kind of review that’s needed. Far more credible than those glossing over obvious poor quality and value. I wish more reviews offered the unvarnished truth. Well done!

I agree with you. I like her honesty, The box is okay, but not worth 40 bucks in my opinion.

I am a mission cute subscriber and I was VERY disappointed in this box. Everything was made in China and not a good quality at all. Didn’t like not getting a breakdown of costs of the items. Had potential but far off from what I’ve come to expect from mission cute.

Come On you guys she is pregnant, I believe. Cut her some slack. If you don’t care for the review back out of it or email Liz but why be cranky about it. She was honest. That box was junk.

I appreciate the honesty in the review as sometimes boxes can be disappointing. This box is definitely nowhere near the quality offered by FFF and Popsugar, despite costing about the same. I have seen roundies like this one and that exact pineapple cup at the dollar store. I would be very disappointed if I received this box.

I like the print of the beach towel! I would have liked to seen the whole thing too.

The Mavi item is definitely a keychain. You can put it on your wrist to keep your hands free. I have one that is very similar on my keys and it helps me keep up with my keys if I don’t want to carry my purse somewhere, like the gym. I can also hang it from most of the gym equipment, which is nice. I also find it helps me locate my keys in my purse. I tend to carry large purses and my keys get lost easily. I would also be interested in knowing what fabric the towel is. Even if it is thin, it may be worth more depending on material.

What’s the fabric content of the roundie? If it’s 100% cotton, those are waaaay more than $10. If it’s not cotton, then $10-$15 is probably about right.

It would have helped somewhat if you had at least opened up the fabric item instead of keeping it closed. It looks similar to a “roundie” or round towel, both of which came in previous PopSugar and Fab Fit Fun boxe s within the past year.

And the “saving grace” of the box was a 47 cent fig bar?

Sara

Right! I think the towel is worth more than $10. But it does seem like an odd box for Mission Cute. The review seems unnecessarily harsh.

Ashley

I agree, even though the box might not have been a win for the reviewer, the general tone is pretty harsh.

Elise

Agree, not even showing a picture of the towel opened up is such sloppy reviewing…

I’d guess the Mavi Bandz is a wrist strap, probably for running or to have at the beach to hold onto your keys.

I’d love to see a better image of the towel/roudie. You can get them on amazon for about $15, but they’re usually more expensive than that.

Michelle

That was my guess too!

Marian

Why not just donate it instead of tossing it in the garbage? Perhaps the large band is so it can be hung on the wrist. Not sure.

Heather

Yes, would have been much more tactful to say something along the lines, “I’ll be gifting this to someone.” Rather than throwing it in the trash.

Kat

I’ll take the key fob if you are throwing it away? Would send postage $. I use them all the time for my school keys.

Yeah, at least the other reviewers have the grace to note they will give away unused items. The whole review seems dashed together.
