The box came with this information card, which basically directs you to their website. I have to admit, I liked the old brochures more – you could instantly tell which snacks were vegan, gluten free, etc. Now you have to read the tiny print of the ingredients lists, instead…Anyway, there was also a flyer for the Love with Food semi-annual snack sale.

Love with Food Deluxe June 2017 Box

There are usually some coupons or product literature in Love with Food.  I am SO EXCITED about the Beanitos coupon (more on that below).

Love with Food Deluxe June 2017 Box

Beanitos Baked White Bean Crunch (1 oz) – Value $0.47 (buy a 7 oz bag for $3.29)

I love these. I buy them every week from Whole Foods and eat them almost every day. I would totally eat with a spoon from a tub of the powder these are coated in. (Maybe I have a problem?) I like them better than similar cheese-flavored snacks because the bean flour they’re made of is a little more substantial than corn starch. (The coupon is getting used on these for sure.)

Love with Food Deluxe June 2017 Box

Red Plate Foods Healthy Granola Snack in Cinnamon Berry (54g) – Value $1.25 (buy a case of 24 bags for $29.99)

This tastes fine for granola and it is free of major allergens.  I’d suggest eating it on top of something (it’s basically just little oat pieces). They’re kind of stingy with the fruit, though. My husband and I split this and we each got ONE dried berry.

Love with Food Deluxe June 2017 Box

Lance PB&J Toasty Crackerss (grape, 1.29 oz) – Value $0.42 (buy a box of 8 packs for $3.39)

These are sandwich crackers with peanut butter and jelly. The jelly is homogenized into the peanut butter somehow so you can’t really see it when you open the cracker sandwiches up. But you can taste it. I am not a fan of Concord grape so I would rather have had these without the jelly, but my husband liked them.

Love with Food Deluxe June 2017 Box

Mediterra Savory Bar with Bell Peppers and Green Olives (1.23 oz) – Value $2 (buy a 12 pack for $23.95)

I’ve had these before, though not in this flavor. They are strange.  The idea of a savory bar is not bad. I mean, I eat a lot of savory crackers and such. But these. These have a ton of brown rice syrup sweetener in them and I cannot think of a single dish where sugar is used with green olives and bell peppers. And I think there is a good reason for that.

Love with Food Deluxe June 2017 Box

Angel Mints (4 count) – Value $0.96 (buy a package of 75 for $17.99)

There are always some small candies in Love with Food. This month it was these mints (about the size and shape of a Tootsie Roll).  I am still trying to figure out calories for these (the downside to getting small candies without full packaging and therefore without nutrition information).

Divina Fig Spread (1.5 oz) – Value $1.56 (buy a 9 oz jar for $9.36)

This is something we’ve received from Love with Food before. I do like it, though. It is kind of like jelly but not exactly. I like it with peanut butter and crackers.

Love with Food Deluxe June 2017 Box

Authentic Italian Pasta Chips in Rosemary (1 oz) – Value $0.76? (buy 24, 2 oz. bags for $36.61)

The concept here is these are made from semolina flour (the same kind of flour pasta is made of). Otherwise, they are pretty typical crackers. Most were intact and I really didn’t notice the rosemary. These were pretty much garlic crackers as far as I was concerned. (That’s not a bad thing.)  I’ve linked to the Amazon page where this flavor is not currently available, so I’ve used the pricing for another flavor.

Love with Food Deluxe June 2017 Box

Shine Elevate (4.22 oz) – Value $1.61 (buy a 16 pack for $25.69)

Had this from lots of subscription boxes before so I am saving it (I am having oral surgery next month and collecting pouch snacks so I don’t have to chew for a few days). Not bad, as pouch snacks go, and it will be a good way to get some servings fruit when I don’t want to chew.

Flapjacked Protein Smoothie with Greek Yogurt (1.5 oz) – Value $1.71 (buy a variety 12-pack for $20.49)

This went where every protein powder sample I acquire goes to – my morning smoothies (I just use a tablespoon or two). This blends well and the strawberry banana flavor didn’t conflict with my other smoothie ingredients.

Love with Food Deluxe June 2017 Box

Snack Factory Pretzel Crisps (1 oz) – Value $0.42 (buy a 7.2 oz. bag for $2.99)

These are big flat pretzels, as you can see from the photo. They are a little plain but they have enough salt that you can eat them alone. They’d also be good dipped in hummus or something. The texture is pretty good, too.

Love with Food Deluxe June 2017 Box

Iwon! Protein Chips in Sriracha (1.85 oz) – Value $3.69 (buy a box of 8, 1.5 ounce bags for $23.92)

I feel like I have had these before but I don’t remember when/where. These are made primarily from pea protein and you can tell based on the texture. They are oddly flavorless but still hot (I guess that is the sriracha), if that makes sense. This is probably not a snack I would turn to often as I don’t care much for pea protein.

Love with Food Deluxe June 2017 Box

Minute Rice Ready to Serve Brown Rice & Quinoa (8.8 oz) – Value $1.84

We’ve been getting some pantry items from Love with Food lately. Of course, his box arrived after we’d already planned our meals for the week, but it is good until next April and it is totally the kind of thing we *would* eat, so we will hang onto it until needed.

Vermont Cracked Pepper Beef & Pork Stick (1 oz x 2) – Total Value $1.67 (buy a package of 48 for $39.99)

I’m vegetarian and my husband isn’t much into snacks like this so I’ll be passing these along to someone at work.

Love with Food Deluxe June 2017 Box

Daelmans Stroopwafel (1 oz x 2) – Value $1.67 (buy a package of 24 for $19.99)

I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad Stroopwafel. I’m really glad there were two of these because I didn’t want to share (typically my husband and I divide snacks from subscription boxes in half). These were delicious.

Verdict: I calculated a value of about $20 for the June 2017 Love with Food Deluxe Box. That’s quite a bit better than last month although still somewhat under the cost of the box. I don’t like to count coupons as part of the box value, though I will definitely be using the Beanitos coupon from this month. You can get a better deal with this subscription if you use the DELUXE10 coupon or sign up for a multi-month deal with MSA20, and don’t forget to review the items from your box for points that you can redeem towards free snacks.

In terms of the box contents this month, I’m a little bummed by all the repeats (Beanitos, Divina fig spread, pretzel crisps, pasta chips, granola, etc.). I wasn’t a fan of everything (Mediterra bar, protein chips) and one item wasn’t vegetarian. Anyway, this wasn’t the best month for me, despite the higher value.

Ragan, you are so right. Those Beanitos cheese puff things are awesome! I’d never tried them before, but I will be buying them again for sure. Yum!

One thing I definitely have a complaint about with Love with Food is the repeats. Sometimes it’s with stuff that I love — like the fig spread — mostly it’s stuff I don’t care for, like the pretzel chips.

I looked at the reviews on their site and there are a lot of complaints about repeats. I was surprised, not only repeats, items that I have given a bad review. There are definitely a few things in this box I can’t use or even give away.

My box was a bit different from yours even thought it was a regular deluxe.
