I think I’m going for the curated box. The Oribe, Kiehls, and MAC samples are all items that I’d really like to try. The blush looks okay, the two colors on the website are both good looking so I think I’ll get use out of it. Kinda disappointed in the size of the MAC sample but the full size is only 1 oz so it makes sense that it’s small.

I still see the value in Birchbox. I think the beta thing is a rip off but I’ve liked it much better since they came out with the curated box. I prefer skincare and hair samples and Birchbox does a lot of both so it works well for me. Honestly I’d rather get a smaller size skincare sample that I will actually use than a full size Kat Von D lippie in a bizarre magenta color that I will never wear (looking at you, Sephora Play) … Who cares if the sample is bigger or full size if it’s not useable because it doesn’t work for your style/skin tone? It’s all a matter of personal preference.

Out of all the Spotlight box choices, excluding the Curly Hair box, I received (off the top of my head) at least 34 of the products in 26 months of being a subscriber and that’s not counting duplicates. To me, the value of a box has more to do with personal preference, curation, variety etc over “retail value”. But, paying $5 extra to pick my own repeats? It’s like Subscribe & Save minus the save!

I’m tired of my pile of useless Birchboxes- the Glossy box ones are much nicer and larger.
I would rather see Birchbox ditch the box, add 3-4 samples, and send it in a plain envelope for the $10.

For $15, it’s not worth one extra tiny sample, and the “big choices”.

I guess customer satisfaction isn’t important. Also get Birchbox man, the mini bars of soap every month is getting stupid. I guess I’m paying $20 per month for a toy or pair of socks, and some hotel soap samples. Time to cut some slack with the stingy subs. Stop the gimmicks and be generous with your customers if you value them.

Hmmm.. either the air repair or jouer:)

I like it. I mean it’s 10 bucks so you’re basically paying for packaging and shipping. That’s cheaper than running to Sephora and back for samples. June’s curated box was pretty great

I think I’m going curated this month. I use a different Kiehl’s face wash but am almost out so this will come at a good time. I have loved almost every Oribe product I have received and I love stuff for wavy hair. The blush serum looks interesting though I’m not totally sure how to apply it. I’m always up for trying new MAC stuff!

Same here, it was a terrible experience from day one. The only upside is that looking into it brought me to this haven and jumpstarted my addiction

That has to be a joke? The featured box has 5 products–one of which is a fragrance sample? Seeing it next to the other samples just underscores how unbelievably tiny the rest of the samples are in the box.
