Wellness Tribe’s May’s theme is Spring Awaken. This month’s box is packed with items to revive.

Each box comes with a card identifying, describing and pricing each item. Subscribers can also visit the Wellness Tribe blog for more information on this box.

Kalen Harwell- Activated Charcoal Mask (2 fl oz) - Value $29.00

I mixed ½ teaspoon of this charcoal powder with equal part toner or water to make the mask and then left it on for 10 minutes. I loved this mask! While I like the cleansing ability of charcoal masks, they are often too drying for me but this one wasn’t at all. Maybe it’s the aloe vera? Anyway, receiving products like this one are why I just love Wellness Tribe.

Juice Organics – Passion Fruit Shampoo and Conditioner (10 oz.) - Total Value $22.00

This version of Juice Organics is made for “fine and lifeless” hair and while that really isn’t what I need for my hair, I’m still happy receiving this well-made organic bundle. I’m happy it doesn’t have any parabens, sulfates, silicones or phthalates and my hair didn’t feel dry after using it. The smell is lovely – slightly sweet and not overpowering.

Happy Healthy Human – Relief Trail Mix (1.5 oz) - Value $3.00

This stuff is the bomb. I’m so glad it came in a single serving bag or I’d eaten more…a lot more. I really like Brazil nuts so that is part of it but more so it was the perfect mix of sweet (banana chips made with cane sugar and coconut oil), salt and cinnamon. The cinnamon was really good in this. I’d definitely buy these again! Highly recommended.

Gogh Jewelry – Tree of Life Necklace - Value $19.00 (regular price $29.00)

Wellness Tribe suggests that you wear this necklace “as a symbol of the power and beauty of Mother Earth” as the tree of life is “a symbol found in many spiritual and mythological traditions around the world” standing for things like wisdom, strength, beauty and protection. The necklace is well made and is pretty. Although it isn’t my style, I have a friend who will love it so it’s all good.

I noticed there was an item listed on the card that wasn’t in my box. I visited the Wellness Tribe website and found this message:

**CHANGE: The May Box Card included an additional product: Fawen. Due to size constraints, we were unable to fit Fawen in the box. Instead of holding the shipment of the boxes to reprint the cards, we sent them with the product listed. We always aim to send you full-size products, and this time the full-size combination was too tight of a squeeze. Rest assured removing of the snack item from the line-up didn’t damper the retail value of the box, coming in at $83!**

Verdict: I'm always pleased with my Wellness Tribe subscription. The boxes are full of new and interesting products and I feel good using the brands they include due to the use of natural ingredients and ethical, environmental and community business practices. Each month I look forward to receiving this box and I’m almost never let down. I love the mask this month and I was happy to see the full-size shampoo and conditioner too. Everything else was just a bonus! This month’s box contained $73 worth of great products for a $45.00 box (month to month subscription). The value is always great for me since I love the products they send.
