    I hated last months box I’m not a hater of glossybox in general. I’ve found some great products.

    • Nah.. there’s a difference between cat fights and discussion.. I believe everyone is good!

  3. I am soooo thankful for the comments in this group! Was excited to subscribe then decided to read first. Going full price in June with such bad reviews will risky. Will pass thanks to all the warnings here!

  4. They must be struggling with respect to their numbers for this month to be making this offer on the last day of the month.

  5. I just signed up for this box and now regret it after reading the reviews. I will give it a chance. Just cancelled the subscription as well. I will be very unhappy if they try to bill me for June as well. Thankfully I have PayPal protection.

    • If you cancel after the 14th of the month you will be billed for the following month so you will most likely be charged for June. It’s the way GB works.

    • Directly from their FAQ: “If you choose to subscribe to a recurring Monthly Plan between the 15th to the end of the month, you automatically agree to following month’s charge.”

      Glossybox does these $10 sales at the end of the month because this way they get subscribers on the hook for the following month at full price. It’s a neat tactic for them – they get to clear out inventory, and guarantee sales for the next month – but not so much for new subscribers who don’t read the terms of sale.

    • I was charged for the second box even when I asked to cancel the box before I received my first box and I opened a dispute with paypal and they declined my dispute and glossybox ended up sending me the box anyways and basically ignored all of my emails on to stop charging my card for the next box…-.-

  7. I fell for this deal last month, when it was 15.99 And regret it. Cancelled. I received the May box and it has none of these products, except the brush. I got different samples than Liz received. Was not happy. Will not sub again.

  9. Yikes, not a good sign for this sub. I honestly wouldn’t even pay $10 for what’s in this box.

  10. I received my May box and the Rodial XXL Lipliner was waxy and dry. No color pigment unless I pushed really hard and tugged at my lips. Wonder if it is really old stock or just a poor quality product. I emailed Glossybox promptly as well and got no reply so far. It’s been a few days.

    • I do however love the Mother’s Day limited edition box and ordered a couple of the Memorial Day sale boxes so I’m hoping I won’t be disappointed. I also did not like the facial cleansing brush – way too rough for my face – but may be great for my feet!😄

  11. I wouldn’t even buy this box for $10! I’m cancelling my sub.. Glossybox is going down hill in my opinion. It used to be one of my favorites.

  12. By signing up for this you are also signing up to get the June box at full price since you have to cancel by the 15th of the prior month to not be charged for the next month. Glossybox is not worth full price in my opinion.

  13. I know! The May box, imo, was The Worst. I gave half of it away to a hotel maid! Ever since I joined, they’re going downhill.

    • Wow. Not good enough for you but good enough for a hotel maid. It sounds like hotel maids are low class to you. Poor choice of words.

      • I’m just not seeing anything wrong with what she said.. She could have easily said that she gave half of her stuff away to the mailman or bank clerk… I guess it all depends on how you perceive it, as we all look at things differently. It will only mean something bad.. if you want it too. Just my opinion.. Perhaps the hotel employee went out of her way to be extra nice to Amy or maybe she kinda of knows her, because she frequents that hotel often.. so Amy decided to do something nice for her. I guess we’ll never know..

        • I think you are missing the sarcasm in Jay’s comment. There is nothing wrong with being a maid and Jay didn’t mean that there was. It was the original comment made by Amy that seemed to imply that there was something low class about being a maid.

        • Oh dear. I hoped the laughing emoji would deter literal-mindedness. Melissa W, rest assured I do not see anything wrong with someone being a maid. My response was intended as a satirical exaggeration, meant to challenge the classist tones of the original comment.

          Alas, I am but a 10th rate Jonathan Swift.

  14. I have a feeling Glossybox is experiencing an exodus of subscribers. I know I’m cancelling after my sub is up. Boxes have been totally sub-par for months. No way I’d pay full price to continue my sub.

    • I agree.

      I really like Glossybox but received a broken nail polish (in a LE box) on 5/3, sent them photos on 5/4 and they STILL have not responded other to say please allow 5-7 days for a response.

      Their ‘chat’ is down on their website and the only hours you can call customer service (East coast) are between 2:00 and 5:00.

      • I was missing an item in the Mother’s Day box, e-mailed them promptly about it, and didn’t receive a reply for three weeks. They claim they will ship a replacement, but I haven’t received a shipment notification and it’s been over a week. I have to admit that I LOVE the LE Mother’s Day box. But the monthly boxes have been a total bust for me for at least 3-4 months now. Low RV, items I have no interest in, I find I’m trying to swap all but one item per box on average. To me that means it is time to move on. Oh well. I suspect Glossy is on the verge of folding.

        • I received a broken nail polish in the LE box as well and imo, the best way to contact them is through their Instagram. I received a response by the next day and in a couple weeks I received an item which was supposed to be the replacement, however it was the vitry nail care from this may box instead! I wrote them again on Instagram and they’ll be sending the the correct nail polish soon hopefully

        • Oh same! I received the Mother’s Day box, and the aromatherapy item was broken and I sent them an email and photos and have not heard a reply yet. It’s been 10 days- so past the 5-7 days for a response. 🙁 if I don’t hear back, I’ll be cancelling my subscription with them.

      • And they NEVER answer their phones! I’m canceling today. I’ll get the boxes I’ve paid for & I’m out.
