Orglamix is a vegan and cruelty-free beauty subscription containing loose shadows, glitter pigments, aromatherapy roll-ons, and more. Many of the items in the subscription will be unique to the subscription and not available in the Orglamix shop (although they will have the same great formula).
They are now doing custom box prints every month and they’re quite pretty.
Lately, they have been putting confetti inside the boxes. It is cute, but it is kind of messy, too.
This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

The box came with an information card detailing the items for May as well as the monthly theme (“Tea Party”).
Lemongrass Bath Bomb – Listed Value $5
I have not yet gotten to use this because we have had houseguests several days this past week (I have to take baths in the guest bathroom; our master bathroom has this ridiculous tub with a capacity a good 3x the time of our water heater). But, it smells good and I am excited about using it soon. I like getting only one or two bath items in a subscription – it’s a reasonable amount of product to get through in a month without accumulating too much of a stash.
Multi Tea Organic Facial Cleanser – Listed Value $9
This has extracts from green, white, and rooibos teas. It also has neem (for some reason, this is the scent I am really picking out, but I think my sense of smell is a little messed up from a recent sinus infection) and aloe. It does not have any traditional surfactants (e.g., sulfates) and it didn’t lather much for me. There are a few natural oils and I think this might be good as the first step in a double cleansing routine, but I haven’t worn makeup much this week since I’ve been off work, so I’ve really only been able to try this as a regular cleanser. It is definitely non-drying on me, even though there is a bit of alcohol in it.
Rooibos Organic Eye Cream – Listed Value $18
I almost made a huge mess with this. It is not really a cream at all, more of a very thin, liquidy lotion, as I think is evident in the second photo (see the bubble?). For what it’s worth, the jar was tightly closed and none of the product leaked. It is moisturizing and non-irritating, which are two things I look for in an eye cream (my skin has been kind of sensitive lately).
Sweet Tea Liplux Lip Tint – Listed Value $12
This was really, really soft. A big chunk of the end broke off when I tried to swatch it. In fairness, I’d just retrieved it from the mailbox minutes before and it was hot out, so maybe if I’d left it alone for a few hours, it would’ve firmed up. To me, it’s more of a tinted balm than anything else; the color is not super-evident on my lips. As a tinted balm, though, it is pretty moisturizing and not at all gritty as some natural balms can be.
Tea for Two Natural Eyeshadow – Listed Value $12.50
You’ll usually get at least one loose mineral eyeshadow with this subscription. This month it is a fairly neutral color, but my eyeshadow looks usually involve neutral shadows and colored liners, so this is a good shade for me. I have sensitive eyes and wear contact lenses but find the Orglamix formula non-irritating. It also blends well. This one will see a lot of use. (This is an exclusive product for the box, this month.)
Here are swatches of the eyeshadow and lip tint. Sorry about the mess with the lip tint, that’s what happens when the product breaks off on your arm…
Verdict: I calculated a value of $56.50 for the May Orglamix subscription box. All the items were exclusive for the subscription, so I had to take the values from the information card. However, that is nearly double the cost of the subscription, so I feel that you are getting your money’s worth. I thought there was a nice mixture of skincare, bath/body type items, and color cosmetics (some months are a little heavier with fragrance or color cosmetics), plus nothing irritated my skin and the eyeshadow color is very useful for me. (Yeah, it’s a little sparkly but I’m OK with that!)
