Next by Nest Fragrances Subscription Box Review – May 2017

This post may contain referral/affiliate links. Read the full disclosure.

Next by Nest is a candle subscription box from Nest Fragrances, and of course, I had to subscribe immediately. (I love their candles!)

Each month you’ll receive a classic candle, a votive candle, and one surprise item – all in the same scent!

This packaging is fantastic. It’s a high-end gift box that you’ll definitely want to keep and re-use. (And if you are thinking about buying this subscription as a gift, it’s already perfectly wrapped each month!)

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes

Each box comes with a card detailing the scent of the month.

May’s fragrance is Bamboo.

Now, onto the items!

Bamboo Classic Candle – Value $40

As always, the packaging of Nest Candles is stunning! (I do miss the unique winter boxes and vessels, though!)

This scent is described as “Flowering bamboo is mingled with a variety of white florals, sparkling citrus and fresh green accords.”

This scent reminds me of a garden – I think it is perfect for May!

And with this subscription, in addition to the large candle (50-60 burn time), you also get a mini votive candle in the same scent:

Bamboo Votive Candle – Value $32 total

These candles have a 20-hour burn time and the same glass and box design as the larger candle. I’m getting a little disappointed that Next stopped sending unique surprise items and instead is just sending two votive candles. (I would have loved to see their new Liquidless diffuser instead!)

Verdict: I’m happy with Next by Nest Fragrances. I’ve recommended this subscription as a gift many times, too – it feels so special every month! This box has a value of $72. I think that’s good for a $56 subscription, and that’s not including the value of the box itself.

One thing to mention is that when your subscription is up, they don’t send you a reminder email to sign up again. (That’s why I missed the April box!)

What do you think of the May Next by Nest Fragrances box? What’s your favorite scent so far?

  1. Such a beautiful combination!

  2. Definitely signing up at the end of this month when I get paid! Nest candles are my all time favorite- and it’s so hard to swap for them on the site!

  3. When I opened my box there was a card for the liquidless diffuser and I was giddy thinking that was in the box. I didn’t think they’d send a votive as the “extra” 3 months in a row. this is my first month of a 3 month sub. I hope the extra item is different next month.

    • Last month the gift was a bottle of lotion!

  4. Do they always send three of the same candle? It seems like it would be nice to get more of a variety
