There is also a TON of coupons for included brands in this month's box. Holy moly.

There is also a card with a promo for Mother’s Day, which is good until June 1st.

WOWBUTTER, 2- 0.50 oz. (you can request a free sample from their site)

First up we have 2 little packets of Wowbutter, which is made of toasted soybeans. It's peanut free, tree nut free, gluten free, egg free, and dairy free. It's produced in a dedicated facility that manufactures only soy products, so this seems like a safe bet if you have a lot of food sensitivities. I spread this on some of the included multigrain bread and have to say it tasted great! If you handed it to me without saying it wasn't peanut butter, I may not have noticed.

Banza Chick Pea Pasta Mac and Cheese, 5.5 oz – Value $3.00 (buy a pack of 6 for $18 on Amazon)

It's great to get a full-size item in these boxes, and I'm very excited to try this chickpea pasta later this week! The back of the box compares to average mac n cheese, and it is higher in protein, higher in fiber, and has lower net carbs. Will it taste like hummus?

Glutino Gluten Free Pretzel Twists, 2.6 oz – Value $1.84 (buy a 14.1 oz bag on Amazon for $9.98)

Nothing out of the ordinary here. These pretzels are gluten free but taste just like your average pretzel, which is a win!

Schär Gluten Free Artisan Baker Multigrain Bread, 2.2 oz (2 slices) – Value $0.73? (You can buy a 14.1 oz. loaf at Walmart for $4.66)

I made some toast with this bread and like that it was a nice dense thick slice. As mentioned above, I smeared some Wowbutter on this and it tasted great. Would definitely use this for a sandwich or at breakfast. Flavor was full even just with butter.

Pamela's Figgies & Jammies in Raspberry & Fig, – Value about $0.50 (buy a 9 oz bag on Amazon for $4.49)

Mmmm! Takes me back to when I ate so many fig newtons as a kid! This package had one large cookie which was really soft and delicious. The raspberry and fig flavor is really fruity!! I'd definitely try other flavors.

Lance Gluten Free Peanut Butter Bite Size Sandwich Crackers, 1 oz. – Value $0.84 (buy a case of 32 for $26.80)

These are tasty lil peanut butter snacks, not unlike the ones you'd find from a major brand that includes all of those pesky glutens. No shortage of flavor here.

Enjoy Life Plentils (Garlic Parmesan), 0.80 oz. – Value $1.00 (You can get a 24 pk for $23.99 at Boxed)

Word on the street is that these are a favorite snack of MSA, and I can see why. These are super light chippies made of lentils, and even though you can tell that they are healthy, the garlic parmesan flavor is nice without being over powering. The package boasts 40% less fat than leading potato chips, so I'm on board.

Bakery on Main Maple Multigrain Muffin Instant Oatmeal (1.75 oz) – Value $1.00 (buy a box of 6 for $5.99)

I noticed that this came in the "Deluxe" Love With Food box this month as well, so I'm glad I get to try it as well. I've been eating plain oatmeal lately that I got from another box, so this maple multigrain flavor will be a nice change of pace!

Fruigees Kalefornia Grape Organic Fruit Snack, 3.5 oz. – Value $1.67 (Case of 12 on Amazon for $19.99)

I'll be honest, I'm always sort of weirded out by food that comes in a pouch. Especially when you're supposed to just squeeze it straight into you mouth. Is this what food has come to in this "busy" world we all live in? It just says it's a "snack", so I'm not sure what texture to expect... oh god. It's like drinking a cross between jelly and applesauce. This is NOT the food for me, because flying cars aren't here yet. It's made with half a cup of fruits and veggies and has nothing artificial in it, but I can't personally get past this texture. 😣

Red Bird Lemon Candy Puffs, 6 oz. – Value $7.86

I see you, Red Bird. This is may be the winner for me with the full size package and it's charmingly light puff candy. Lemon is a refreshing flavor for summer, and these aren't overly sweet. What a nice discovery in these.

Munk Pack Protein Cookie in Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip, 2.96 oz. – Value $2.80 (You can order a 6 pk for $16.79 on their site which is the same price as Amazon)

I'm not in love with the taste here, but it IS a protein cookie, and gluten free or not, I feel like that's how they taste. The texture is sort of dusty and chewy, if that makes sense. I can taste the peanut butter and chocolate chip, but there is still that earthy taste that I expect a lot of vegan treats to have. Meh.

Verdict: All totaled up, the value of this box landed over $21, even with the Wowbutter that I didn't put a value on, and the bread that was hard to determine, so that's close the $24.99 price (and just over if you pay $19.99 with the annual plan). As always, the fun here is tasting new things, and I can see anyone with a gluten allergy being over the moon about these products. The protein cookie and the fruit pouch fell flat for me, but the rest will keep me snackin' for the rest of the week and I can share with my gluten free pals!

The Banza macaroni and cheese didn’t really taste like chickpeas at all. I think it was good. I found I wanted to have a drink nearby when I was eating it, I guess it is a little dry compared to conventional pasta. But I am going to use the coupon to get more at Target.

I usually just eat whole wheat pasta (I am not GF, not by a long shot). Among GF pastas, though, probably the Tinkyada brown rice pastas are my favorites in terms of texture and nutrition.

Thanks for the heads up, Ragan!

Was super excited when I saw this was for a gluten-free box, but not so much once I saw what was inside. These are pretty standard brands, and nothing really special (but yes, Glutino pretzels are the BEST).

Oh no, Dana! Maybe the next one will be more exciting? Fingers crossed!
