Little Passports World Edition Kids Subscription Box - Guatemala - May 2017

Little Passports World Edition features a new country “each month with:

  • Letters from Sam & Sofia
  • Fun souvenirs
  • Activity sheets
  • Stickers for your suitcase, passport & map
  • Photos
  • Access to Boarding Zone for more online games”

Little Passports sent Sam and Sofia to Guatemala this month. That was a tough pronunciation for Cira to figure out!

Sam and Sofia went to the Tikal National Park in the Guatemalan jungle. I’ve been in the jungle area near there and it is amazing! They were able to see lots of Mayan ruins and temple pyramids. They also were able to see some jaguars in the wild. That would be amazing!

Each month we receive stickers for our Little Passports’ passport, the suitcase, and the map. I love that Cira gets the map out every time we get a new Little Passports World Edition package and tries to find the designated country by herself. Cira learning more about world geography is one of my favorite parts of this subscription.

The picture on this postcard is of Antigua, Guatemala. I’ve always wanted to visit that city but Guatemala hasn’t been the safest place in recent years. I understand it is just beautiful though!

We always learn something new and interesting about the designated country from the Little Passports activity sheet. This month we learned about Guatemalan basket weaving, the Giant Kite Festival on the Day of the Dead (November 1), and Guatemalan Pan de Banano (banana bread)! We’d love to attend the Kite Festival.

The souvenir this month was a small washcloth with a Guatemalan pattern on it. Cira had fun soaking it in the water in order to find out what it was. The pattern is really pretty too.

Verdict: We consistently enjoy Little Passports World Edition. Both Cira and I learned new things each month and I’m a fan of anything that may increase my child’s knowledge of the world (and hopefully inspires future travel!) The activities in the box are both fun and informative. Cira likes reading about Sam and Sofia and she always looks forward to learning where they went travel next month. The cost of $14.95 (plus $3.00 for shipping) seems fair as I love getting my child excited about travel and learning about other countries.

I ordered this for my grandson for Christmas – he received the first box in time for Christmas but now the end of February and he has not received anything else. I contact the company after the first “Brazil” package didn’t arrive in January and they said they would send another special post. but 24 days later its still hasn’t arrived and the Feb package isn’t here either.
I am starting to think that if you live in Canada DONT order because you won’t ever get it.
No phone number to contact them and they haven’t responded to my last 3 e-mails.
I have triple checked the mailing address ( my office) so I know isnt being misdirected with our post service.

Close to 200.00 can down the drain – POor customer service
