GlobeIn now offers two Artisan Box themes you can pick from! The theme for the second GlobeIn May 2017 Box is… Epicure!

Fellow connoisseurs of the good life,

Writer Virginia Woolf once proclaimed, “One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.” To which this box proclaims, here, here!

Indeed, what if the path to our highest good really were through following our pleasure? Well, that would make wine and cheese very, very important—and this kit a pretty sacred set of tools.

Salud!

And here is the first spoiler:

  1. I am so excited for this box! Globein has become my favorite sub box mostly because of the beautiful glass options that last several months. I think the scratches are normal artisan marks, since this stuff isn’t mass produced, it doesn’t have the machine-ish perfection, if that makes sense. I’m thinking about getting my mom a sub for Mother’s Day, wonder if she would get the first box in time.

  2. I got last month’s sustain box, mostly for the pretty glass . I love the color i got but there are a couple of very noticeable scratches in the swirly paint that really mar the appearance. Did anyone else notice that on their tumblers? I understand these at handmade are there are going to be imperfections in each item. If that’s the case with the scratches, I’m ok with it, but if I just got a faulty one, I kind of want a replacement. It was the only reason I got the box in the first place!

    • I didn’t notice scratches (but honestly didn’t look that closely either) but this one seemed a bit “uneven” or “wonky.” It sits flat on a surface but the top ring is a bit uneven (one side higher than the other) and the overall form doesn’t appear to be perfectly round or symmetric. I think that’s almost to be expected since these are handmade pieces and I think it gives it more character! I like knowing that an actual human being made these instead of a machine. Embrace the imperfections in life! 😉

  3. I hope it comes with 2. Love the glasses. Very pretty.

  4. For someone that doesn’t even drink wine, I sure do get excited about the wine glasses in GlobeIn baskets. LOL. I think these and the swirly ones from the Love box have been some of my favorite GlobeIn items ever. So cute! It’s not clear, but I hope they really do come in a set of 2…
