Kraft Dinner, 225g. - Value $0.99?

I haven't eaten a Kraft Mac n Cheese Dinner in forever. My brother ate so much of this in his early 20's that my Mom would buy him a case of them every year for Christmas (and sadly still does even though he is 40 and married). I tore into this baby and decided to add a can of tuna to make it more filling (or depressing?). This was slightly more exciting since the packaging is slightly different than the US version, and of course, has all directions in French as well.

Dutch Crunch Kettle Cooked Potato Chips - Value $1.25? (a 9 oz. bag in a different flavor is available at Target for $3.39)

Yaaaaas! I am potato chips' number one fan. I eat so many chips and am always looking for regional brands that I can't find in my area, so this is right up my alley. These are a classic kettle cooked chip and are extremely crunchy!

Crispers- All Dressed - Value $0.99? (buy a 175g bag for $2.14 on Canadian Walmart.com for $2.14)

These are VERY flavorful. The chips are pretty standard greasy but are quite crisp, and thicker than a chip. The flavor has a lot going on, but the main things I taste are BBQ...but also maybe a ranch situation as well.

Humpty Dumpty Cheese Sticks - Value $1.25? (buy a 265g bag for $4.89 on Canadian Favourites)

These are cheese puffs, you guys! Makes me giggle that our northern friends have different terms for common snacks. "Sticks"? Cmon! They are clearly puffs.

Lays Ketchup Flavored Chips, 40g. - Value $1.55 (Dang, these are sought after. A 180g bag on Amazon is $7.00!)

I've heard of these fabled ketchup chips and I finally get to try them! They're weird! A little sweet, but also tomato-y. I like that they are somehow purple.

Eat-More Candy Bar, 52g. - Value $2.92 (These also seem to be a cult favorite. Did you need 12? That'll be $34.99 on eBay)

Are you familiar with Peanut Chews? They are probably hands down my favorite chocolate candy, and this Eat-More bar is constructed differently but tastes exactly the same. Chocolate and peanuts is a winning combo, so you know it'll be good.

Maynards Wine Gums - Value: $0.99? (buy a 190g bag of similar candy on Amazon for $4.79)

Sorry I'm just comparing all of these Canadian snacks to American snacks, but that's the easiest way to get the flavor across to you, right? As I type that though, I can't think of this candy's counterpart here in the US. They're the kind of gummies that are more solid and chewy than a Haribo type. You can probably tell what the texture is like by looking at them. They kind of get stuck in your teeth a bit.

Maynards Fuzzy Peach - Value $0.99? (buy a 355g bag for $10.49 on Amazon)

There are like peach rings, my favorite gummy flavored candy! They are obviously not in ring form but are just as good.

Thrills Gum - Value $1.67 (If you want 20 packs, that's a whopping $33.43 on Amazon)

Did you notice that the package says "Still tastes like soap!"? Ummmm- is that a thing that Canadians like? Anyone from Canada is welcome to let me know in the comments below...

Super Passion Flakie in Pomme-Framboise, 66g. - Value $1.32 (buy a 396g box for $7.89 on Canadian Favourites)

This pastry treat is a cross between a strawberry shortcake type thing and a turnover. It's flakey, just like it says in its name, but is filled with creamy goo and a berry jam situation.

Original Wagon Wheel, 35g. - Value $0.22 (buy a 630g box for $3.97 at Walmart Canada)

Even thought this is the first time I reviewed this box, I noticed that they sent one of these in the February box as well, which would bum me out if I had gotten that one too. I'll eat it though. I'll never kick a marshmallow/chocolate treat out of bed for eating crackers.

Dad's Cookie Biscuits, 37.5g. - Value: $0.56 (buy a 300g box for $4.49 at Canadian Favourites)

These were the last things I tried because they are the healthiest, but damn! These are good. They're chewy and sweet oatmeal chocolate chip.

Verdict: This box had SO MUCH STUFF. I squealed when I opened it, even though I may have gotten a stomach ache after stuffing so much candy and chips in my face. I'm clearly into "Getting Canucked" more in the future. As for the dollar value, I estimated all of these items to cost about $15, which is much lower than the $35 a month cost. However, if you wanted to get all of them on your own, you'd have to buy larger packages or cases (which cost a ton), and prob pay shipping each time. Some were hard to find at all. I could definitely see a Canadian out of their home country ordering this because they missed the cult favorites.

I love reading the reviews for this box because there are so many items I didn’t realize are Canadian. I’m hoping they send a mini bottle of Clamato sometime. It’s clam juice mixed with tomato juice. We use it to make a drink called a Caesar. It’s like a Bloody Mary but much better.

I love your reviews. Useful, honest, but with a great sense of humor. SO, SO glad Mom didn’t discover Thrills gum when I was little cause it would have allowed her to wash my mouth out with soap when we weren’t at home (I was a mouthy child).

Holy cow, Thrills gum is a heated debate! I love to get the inside scoop on this! Thanks for sharing, everyone! Fingers are always crossed for more dressed chips.

Thrills is lavender flavoured and we do think it tastes like soap. Odd I know but you can get lavender pastilles in the UK. It is a love or hate thing.
Dad’s oatmeal cookies are the best. They were the best thing about donating blood. You got oj and a pack of Dad’s

Oh man, Thrills gum is so gross! I can’t believe they still make it. Not sure what the draw is because it really does taste like soap, and no, Canadians don’t like to eat soap….at least, I don’t. To me, it’s like a novelty thing, kind of like Bean Boozled.

Thrills gum!! Hahaha, I love that stuff!! Yes it does taste like soap but if you’re a Canadian kid from the 80’s you grew up on this stuff and the soapy taste brings back a lot of memories, hahaha. Sounds gross for sure but I dunno, it still makes me smile whenever I see it in the store even though I haven’t bought it in years. And yes, if I was on the road and away from home I’d totally buy this box every month. I have actually bought a few for friends that now live in the states and they were a huge hit plus the customer service was amazing.

My kids love Thrills gum! This box looks like a typical convience store (at least in my experience)
Hopefully, next time you get Smarties and all dressed chips 😊
