You know the service black box still is charging people for boxes and she hasnt sent one in 6 months . Said feb was it but still charges each month. I called the company she uses pay now i think and they said nothing they can do. She has to stop the monthly charges. But she wont reply i had to cancel my card and go through a huge mess. But still nothing that i paid for .and then all the people that she is still taking from each month. It makes me sooo mad i mean soooo mad . I wish they all would get the u know whats and file against her. I had one of the guys who was helping her with online promotions contact me in dec with some pretty crazy info about how she had planned this way back in nov. And was planning to take peoples money and send nothing at all. In theses emails she had said that some one else took peoples money and ran and got away with it so she would too. And that she was not making enough to make it worth it any more. I was charged 43 a month and others paid 23 for smaller size. Thats alot if added up. I get going under but this women vix is a whole new low.

There’s a lot of large businesses going under this year as well. I follow Consumerist, and sadly, many companies are going under. It stinks to see small, independent companies (except for LLB–they had that coming) fail.

That was fast.

Definitely a reminder not to do prepaid annual subs. I prepaid my OuiPlease and hope desperately that I can get 6 boxes out of it. 3 so far, 3 to go.

I have other subs that I really love, but I am not going to prepay anything anymore, month-to-month only.

I used three different payments on LLB (one for LLB, one for serendipity, and one for the online shop). Capital One was the easiest to get the refund. I filled out a form online and I received a refund within 24 hours. Paypal took a little longer (all online) but eventually I received a refund. My bank Visa was a pain in butt so I just let that one go (only $12.99). so now I only use Capital One for my prepaid subs and Paypal (if it’s an option) for monthly payment of subs.

You aren’t kidding. It’s not worth whatever small savings they offer to do a prepaid subscription. I’ve had five close without warning, and only got refunds for two of the three I had prepaid for. It’s crazy!!

Side note, I’m still super bummed Darby smart ended their subscriptions!
