Doctor Who Block Subscription Box Review + Coupon – May 2017

This post may contain referral/affiliate links. Read the full disclosure.

BBC’s Doctor Who Block is a brand new subscription from Nerd Block! This is a new, bi-monthly, subscription box that features licensed Doctor Who items and exclusive apparel.

My Subscription Addiction pays for this box (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

The Subscription Box: Doctor Who Block

The Cost: $49.99 (includes shipping)

The Products: Licensed Doctor Who items and exclusive apparel

Ships to: US, Canada, and UK!

This is the first review for this box – Check out all of my Nerd Block reviews to get more information on this subscription. Check out all of our Geeky Subscription Boxes in the Subscription Box List. Rate, review, and follow this subscription on the Doctor Who Block profile page.

There wasn’t a theme to the first box – and I don’t know if there will be future themes, but they did release a spoiler or two for this box.

Like every Nerd Block, it comes with an information card that details every item in the box.

It also comes with a card with a BBC store coupon!

I’m a Dreamer Shirt – Value $15?

Every Block will include an exclusive shirt. This month’s shirt features a quote from the Eleventh Doctor.

It also features the BBC and Doctor Who logo on the back of the neck.

Exclusive Titan 6.5″ Tenth Doctor Figure – Value $20+ based on non-exclusive pricing

The big ticket item of the month is an exclusive 6.5″ Titan vinyl figure.

I love that the packaging is the Tardis!

The exclusive figure features and exclusive paint job for the Tenth Doctor.

He even comes with a Sonic Screwdriver!

Tardis Mug – Value $15?

You’ll also get an exclusive Tardis mug.

It’s a simple design – but I like the watercolor look of it.

Rusty K-9 3d Model Kit – Value $10-15 based on similar build kits

This is an exclusive variant of the regular K-9 model kit.

This build comes with the pieces to make your rusty looking metal build!

All Doctors Travel Pass Holder – Value $5-10?

The last exclusive item in the box is a Doctor Who plastic ID card holder.

The design is fun – but I’ve never liked these, they’re a flimsy plastic – which is good for not adding any bulk.

Eleventh Doctor’s Sonic Screwdriver Flashlight – Value $13 on Amazon

The final item in the box is the only non-exclusive item in the box – it’s a Sonic Screwdriver flashlight!

It’s a 5.5 inch LED flashlight! It doesn’t have any mechanical pieces or anything – but it’s much more fun than your normal flashlight.

Verdict: My values come to almost $90 – that’s a good value for a $50 box. This is definitely a fun box for Doctor Who fans, and it’s nice to see a Doctor Who box now! I also like that it’s bi-monthly, like other specifically themed boxes (Firefly, Halo), I feel that the bio-monthly cadence is much better. I’m excited to see where this box goes!

What did you think of the first-ever Doctor Who Block?
