There isn’t an information card with this mystery grab bag.

Stud Earrings – Value $9.95?

The grab bag also included these earrings. They’re not available in the Cents of Style shop, so I valued them the same as other simple pairs of stud earrings you can buy there.  I think it’s a nice bonus and these do have a good amount of sparkle. At this price point, I will definitely have to cover the posts with a layer of clear nail polish before wearing (I am super metal sensitive).

Lyla Rose Garden Flare Dress – Value $18.95 (on sale; MSRP $39.95)

This is 95% polyester and 5% spandex and is very comfortable (and unfortunately, hand-wash only). It is also a good length on me. I am not sure it is the most flattering dress for my upper body, just because of the waist (we took a lot of pictures at different angles before settling on this one), but I can wear it with a cardigan, which should help. I did not have a slip on in this picture but I might consider wearing one because I felt like you could see all the contours of my bra, etc., on the lighter side of the chest. I do love the print; that is totally my style.

Red and Black Plaid Shirt Dress – Value $44.95?

This dress was no longer available in the Cents of Style shop so I have taken the value from a similar shirt dress.  This one is also a bit loose-fitting and is really comfortable. I don’t mind the slits up the sides as I will wear it with fleece-lined, opaque tights (the ones you see in the picture). We couldn’t take pictures for this in the dining room against the red paint, though (and it was too windy outside…).

Hi, Mr. Kitty! (There were at least 3 cats circling during the entire photo session.)

I also tried the dress with a belt. I do like the look with the belt. But if I raise my arms up, some fabric slides up through the belt and then puffs out just above the belt when I put them back down again. So that would be a constant adjustment.

But, my office’s dress code is business casual and this would definitely be appropriate for work.

Verdict: I calculated a value of about $73.85 for the items in my Cents of Style Mystery Dress Grab Bag.  That would be a good deal at the original price of about $60 but is even better with the coupon.  Everything fit (I was a little worried since the listed size range for “small” was 0-4) and I feel like the quality was more than acceptable for dresses I basically paid $15 each for.  I like that everyone was guaranteed two dresses here so that people across the whole size range offered could be sure to get equivalent items (no ponchos). And I do like the prints in both dresses I received (but I am all about bright, bold colors).

What do you think of the Cents of Style Mystery Dress Grab Bag? Did you receive the same items or different ones? (I know Nancy Su got the same dresses I did.)

So disappointed in my 3X dress grab bag. I received 2, very plain, long sleeve T-shirt dresses – one in blue the other in red worth maybe $10 each. My bonus item was a cheap necklace worth about $1. I fully expected something cute Iike the regular sizes, maybe a print, but certainly not duplicate T-shirt dresses. Highly disappointed -debating return but I have to see what my return options are.

I love the plaid without the belt!!

I think I might have to wear it that way. It got kind of irritating to have it puff out around the belt after raising and lowering my arms. Don’t want to walk around pulling on my skirt all the time.

I got the floral dress too … i’m a shortie though so it’s basically a long sleeve at an awkward length (like right at the top of my wrists). I still like it though!

Mine might actually be the maxi dress though (rv $49.95) since mine has pockets and definitely seems more maxi.Mine has a similar patter to yours though at not what they have on the site currently under it.

The floral dress does have pockets, I just totally forgot to mention that.

I am 5’5″ and I think that dress could definitely look different depending on someone’s height.

You loook great in the floral one! I got that one in my grab bag as well and love it! I love that it looks good on a size small and me as a large! I also got a short sleeve peAch t-shirt swing dress. Both are sooo comfy!

You’re lucky you seem to be able to wear any style dress and they always fit! as an older person, I respect that you mention wearing a slip. I used to work in an office where gals didn’t know what a slip was.

I have bought two (full) slips since I started doing clothing reviews here (one in black, one in a nude color). I have gotten a few dresses that were just a little bit too see-through for me to be comfortable wearing in pictures on the internet (or to the office) otherwise.

Cat photo bomb! 🐈
Like the idea with the belt, but constant adjustment sounds no fun.

I like them and they do look really nice on you. Especially after fitting the last one properly with a belt.
