Walmart Beauty Box Review – Spring 2017 – Classic Box
The Walmart Beauty Box is a quarterly beauty sample subscription box from Walmart. They feature brands you will find at Walmart, plus coupons.
FYI – They ask for your birthday at sign up to customize the box based on age. There are two options you could receive based on age: Trendsetter (under 35) or Classic (35 and over).
You can sign up for both like I did – just change your birthday year for the different account. Check out my post on the Trendsetter and Classic options to see how to get both options.
This is the best packaging I’ve seen from Walmart Beauty Box to date – I’m impressed with the separate lid design!
This is a review of the Classic Beauty Box.
My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Soapbox Sea Minerals Body Wash – 2 oz Value $.60
I first discovered Soapbox thanks to Target Beauty Box, and I love the brand! The Soapbox formulas are ingredient-conscious, and a purchase of a full-size version of any of their products gives a bar of soap to a person in need.
This Sea Minerals scent is refreshing, and the formula is creamy and moisturizing!
Ban Powder Fresh Roll-On Deodorant in Powder Fresh – 1.5 oz Value $3
My go-to deodorant is Secret in stick form, so this roll-on liquid is a little out of my comfort zone, but it dried quickly. And it smells very powdery fresh!
It’s not a new favorite, but it will be a good backup if I ever run out of Secret!
Pure ICE Nail Polish in Tickle Me Pink – FULL SIZE! Value $2
I’ve seen a several different nail polish colors in Walmart Beauty Boxes on Instagram, and I’m thrilled that I got this ballet pink shade! It goes on sheer, so I needed 3 coats for full coverage.
Here it is on:
I love a neutral nail, so this is definitely my favorite item in the box. And the formula is Toluene, Formaldehyde & DBP Free. (And made in the USA!)
Gliss Ultimate Repair Conditioner – 1.7 oz Value $.70
This conditioner is designed to restore heavily damaged hair. The formula did a great job of moisturizing my hair without weighing it down, and I like the scent, too.
BUT! This box was supposed to include one shampoo and one conditioner. Instead, I received just the conditioner and TWO Jergens moisturizers:
Jergens Natural Glow Wet Skin Moisturizer – 2 oz each Value $4.60 total
This is a great product if you don’t have a lot of time to apply self-tanner, wait for it to dry, etc. You apply it immediately post-shower when your skin is still wet, then pat dry with your towel and you’re good to go.
I found it to be super easy to use, and it left my skin a little moisturized, too. I’m not a huge fan of the scent, though. And it takes a while to fade, unfortunately.
Colgate Radiant Optic White Beauty – .75 oz Value $1.75
I can’t remember the last time I actually bought toothpaste. Between Walmart, Target, and New Beauty Test Tube, I’m set with toothpaste for a while! The minty flavor of this paste is great, plus I always like a whitening formula.
SOO AE Mask – Value $3
I’ve sampled these masks before thanks to Ipsy. They’re great for hydration, and you have to leave them on for 15-20 minutes. (If you avoid parabens and/or fragrance in skincare products, you’ll want to skip on this, though.)
Verdict: This box has a value of about $17.40. I think that’s good for a $5 box. I was surprised to see no coupons in this box, though! My favorite items this month are the nail polish, the Soapbox body wash, and the Colgate toothpaste.
