4.2 overall rating
12 Ratings | 4 Reviews

The Honest Company offers five different “bundle” subscriptions: Essentials (household items), Diapers & Wipes, Health & Wellness (vitamins), Organic Infant Formula + DHA  and Beauty.

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

This review is of the Diapers & Wipes Bundle, $79.95 a month, box.

Note from Liz: In late 2016, The Honest Company was in the news about cancellation issues. Phone wait times were reported at up to half an hour in some cases. Honest Company has made some changes in response, and you are now able to cancel bundles online from your Account Settings, or via online chat. (Commenters also let us know that Honest Company has a call-back feature if you want to call but don't want to wait on hold.)

Honest Company Diaper bundles are always huge since they have enough (or more than enough) for a month! Here's what I got in my April delivery.

If you're not familiar with this subscription, here are the basics: You always get 6 packs of diapers and 4 packs of wipes each month. For the diapers, you can select your favorite patterns, and Honest will randomly pick for you depending on what's available. You can swap in Overnight Diapers or Pull-Up style diapers for any of the 6 packs. You can even change the size on just some of the diapers, and you can also add on extra products for a 25% discount.

1 packs of Honest Overnight Diapers, size 6 - Regularly $13.95/pack ($0.63/diaper), save 22% with subscription

Every once in awhile, it seems like I get an overnight diaper that's lacking enough absorbent filling in the front. These have been generally reliable for us, but I'd say my 2-year-old son is still peeing through these once a week or so. It depends a lot on when he eats dinner and has his last cup of milk or water.

I am loving the new print selection, so I hope some of these stick around long term! My son is a big fan of the rainclouds (he was really sad when we ran out last month) but I love the spacemen and bugs, too.

If you haven't seen these diapers in person, the texture is a little bit papery (typical of eco-friendly diapers). Last month, I had swapped for a package of Training Pants too, but unfortunately, I think I was a little too optimistic: we're not quite ready for potty training yet.

So colorful and so much fun!

4 pack of Honest Wipes - $18.95 ($4.95 individually)

As I've mentioned in my past reviews - by the time you have a toddler, you just don't need 4 packs of wipes a month. I usually end up giving some to my sister in law, who has a 6-month-old, but this month they are also making great add-ons for baby shower gifts. 😉

These wipes *are* great though. They're a good thickness with a bit of texture, unscented, and have always been gentle on my son's skin. I love them - I just don't need so many of them!

I also selected an add-on product this month:

Honest Laundry Detergent, 70 oz – $12.95 ($9.71 with the add-on discount when you subscribe)

I think this is the first time I've picked something up that isn't specifically child related, but it's one of the conveniences of this subscription: you can add on other items from Honest's products, not just diapering products.

We were running low on detergent and I quickly threw this into my monthly delivery, knowing it would be here in a few days. I'm sure I could get a better price on a different brand in my local Target store, but this was so much easier that I'm fine with paying the premium! I tend to stick with free-and-clear detergents when I can, and this so far seems just as effective as any other brand I've tried.

Verdict: For $90.24 this month, I got $115 worth of products at their regular retail prices, delivered right to my door. My verdict is always pretty much the same: Honest is a little pricier than other diaper brands, but the quality and convenience are great. The add-on products have always been a hit with us, and the subscriber freebies every few months are a nice touch, too. Yes, I always have too many wipes these days, but they're easy to repurpose (or donate if need be).

I like Honest for gifting at baby showers, too, especially if they're doing a diaper raffle or something similar - they have a lot of great unisex patterns, and they're just cuter and a little but more "special" to give as a gift.
