Stitch Fix is a monthly styling subscription service. When you sign up you take a pretty in-depth survey about your sizes, your style, and pricing preferences, and then your personal stylist sends you 5 items to try once a month. The fee for this service is $20, and that includes free shipping and free returns. And if you keep any of the items they send you, you get to deduct the $20 fee from the total. (If you keep all five items, you also get a 25% discount!)

FYI – My items are reflective of my style and price preferences, so your Stitch Fix may be completely different!

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

This review is of the Stitch Fix Maternity, $20 a month, box.

This is my invoice sheet. It lists the prices per item and the discount I’d receive by keeping all 5 items. With the 25% discount and my $20 styling fee factored in, this box would cost me a total of $176.50 to keep everything – an average of $35.30 per item and a total discount of $85.50

Bay to Baubles Alyah Reversible Leaf Collar Necklace – Cost to keep: $28

I don’t normally have jewelry selected to be sent to me in my Stitch Fixes, but I changed things up a bit this month. I like this necklace a lot! It’s silver, simple, and versatile, but still a statement enough to really finish off any outfit.

And it’s reversible – the front side (pictured above) is printed as little leaves and the backside is smooth.

Paradigma Jala Maternity Button Front Blouse – Cost to keep: $64

I really love the idea of this top. I think it’s a flattering cut and I love the print. Unfortunately, this top was just too big on me. I know it’s maternity, but the chest and arms felt too large, too. Ultimately I’m not terribly disappointed to send this back, though, because I don’t think it looks super unique or different compared to what I could probably find in most maternity departments of stores. I really do love that print, though.

Loveapella Maternity Naima Split Neck Knit Dress – Cost to keep: $64

This dress is great! It’s soft, comfortable, stretchy, and flattering. I like the length, and this will definitely be a go-to dress this summer.

Loveapella Maternity Jilyen Roll Cuff Maternity Knit Top – Cost to keep: $48

This top fits really well, but I just didn’t love it. I can’t quite put my finger on it – I’m not sure if it’s the design or if it’s the faux-chambray-esque fabric.  I just knew I didn’t love it almost $50 worth.

Rune Porter Maternity Legging – Cost to Keep: $58

These leggings are nice – lots of stretch (obviously), opaque material, nice quality feel, and they fit me well. I need a pair of maternity-specific leggings so I was glad my stylist sent these for me to try.

Verdict: I loved my Stitch Fix maternity deliveries for my first pregnancy, but this box, which is the first for my second pregnancy, felt a little generic. To be honest I felt like I could probably find most items in Target or other stores. But, I kind of expect any first box from a styling service to be a little less my style/taste at first and get better with time. I also feel like the first box is a starting point to help me pin down what I am and am not looking for, so I can give some good feedback and write a little note. I did like how my stylist asked in her note about my inseam preference for skinny jeans so she could be sure to send me maternity jeans that work for my height. All in all, I’m hopeful for future boxes!
