This month’s box took inspiration from the tv show The Blacklist.

You’ll get an information card that tells you the month’s theme, The Blacklist, along with information about each item.

Each item has the value listed – these are the values that I’ll use for the review.

The Blacklist Tie – Retail $30

This month’s tie is made by Sprezzabox exclusively for this box.

They created a tie that you could see Red wearing in The Blacklist. While I don’t use ties every ay, I do really like the design of this one – it can be worn with a dark or light shirt.

The Blacklist Pocket Square – Retail $18

Like the tie, this was created with Red’s fashion sense in mind.

I like this pocket square quite a bit as well. It’s a bit more basic than most pocket squares I’ve received in subscription boxes and it feels a bit more durable, more well-made.

Slate & Stone Socks – Retail $14

Keeping with the gray color tone, you’ll get a pair of gray and white polka dot socks.

These are on the thin side – more of a dress sock. But, even though they are thin, they are surprisingly warm!

Sunny Rebel Sunglasses – Retail $49

This is my second pair of Sunny Rebel sunglasses this month – this time, they’re aviators.

Sprezzabox-Blacklist-April-2017-0017

These are certainly a classic look and essential for Red in The Blacklist.

These are definitely on the basic side of sunglasses – but that can be said for aviators in general. They have a gold frame with burgundy accents and lenses.

Cufflinks.com Tie Clip – Retail $20

You’ll receive a tie clip to use with this month’s selection.

It’s subtle and basic – but it goes nicely with a patterned tie.

Geometric Money Clip – Retail $15

The final item in the box is also made by Sprezzabox.

Sprezzabox-Blacklist-April-2017-0009

This is a nice and large money clip! I love the style!

You’ll be able to fit more than enough essential items for a night out without a wallet.

Verdict: I watched The Blacklist for half of one season – from that sample size alone, I can tell you that they stuck to the theme quite well for the character. If you like building out your tie collection or wear ties every day, this box could be a good fit for you. Typically, the cost of the tie alone covers the cost of the box – so everything else becomes a bonus.

What do you think of the April SprezzaBox?

  1. Hi, Eric! I enjoyed your review very much and the box seems to worth ordering, but I have a concern: What is the tie’s fabric material? I am asking because I only collect silk neckties. Thank you in advance!

  2. OOOOH…I like this box….may have to get for my son…!

  3. Everything looks great! Love the theme and all the items fit perfectly with it.
