Each box comes with a card detailing the items included and the theme. This month’s theme is Bangkok! My brother-in-law lives outside of Bangkok and he and his wife just had a baby. Scent From’s description of the city makes me feel like I’m there (and I really wish I could be to meet my new niece!).

Scent From Tin Candle in Oriental Fig – Value $15?

This natural wax candle has a 40 hour burn time. The scent is described as fig, but it’s overwhelmingly sweet, tropical, and flowery. I really like the scent and think it, along with the candle’s purple hue is appropriate heading into springtime.

Jones Home & Gift Flower Tealights, 10-count – Value $10?

These tropical flower tealights are gorgeous! I don’t even want to burn them, but rather scatter them around my kitchen or sunroom as decor. They have various sweet scents, but I can’t detect anything in particular. I think these would make a great Mother’s Day gift too!

Here’s a closer look at the flowers. Each petal is intricately shaped and detailed with lovely color and texture!

Buddha Head Oil Burner – Value $10?

I was unable to find this exact item online, so I linked to a similar oil burner. This item is made from white ceramic and I like the starkness and simplicity it adds to my home’s decor. It measures about 5″ tall, so it doesn’t take up a lot of room when I keep it on my bookshelf, when not in use.

Instructions were included with the oil burner! To use it, you place a few drops of oil on top and mix with water. A tea light can be placed inside the buddha head to burn. I like that the lid also has openings for the aroma to escape.

Flamingo Candles Wax Melt in Thai Lime & Mango – Value $2.49 USD

At first, I though this wax melt was to be used with the buddha head, but it’s about 2″ and larger than the top opening and more appropriate to use my electric wax burners. It has a light scent and nice mix of lime and mango. Another great spring or summer scent!

Verdict: This month’s Scent From has an estimated value of $37.49, which is consistent with past boxes and good for the $28.58 cost, including shipping to the US. I loved this month’s theme, not only for personal reasons, but I received a nice mix of springtime home accessories. Each item has a wonderful scent and/or mixes nicely with my home’s decor style.

  1. Wow, those tealight candles are adorable! I wouldn’t want to burn them either!

  2. I loved the March box. They are shipping out earlier so I am now getting the box in the actual month instead of the following month. I’ve liked every month so far. With the exchange rate the cost isn’t always the same but the most I’ve been charged is $24.21. The tealights are so pretty in person. I do wish they had sent oil instead of the wax melt.

  3. As a Thai and a Buddhist, I have to say that in Thailand you absolutely aren’t allowed to use Buddha’s head as a decoration. I’m still not used to seeing these decorative items around here. 😔

  4. Is this box still able to be bought?

    • If you bothered to click on the link for the site, the available box is Barcelona. So, no

      • Amber,

        You sound delightful.

        Sincerely,

        The World

        • I am delightful, actually. The world agrees

    • If you poke around on the site it looks like some of the past boxes can be bought. This was one of them. Also New York, Alps, Marrakesh, and Paris. Neat boxes.
