The box came with this information card.
SPOT/Ethical Fluttering Butterfly Mini Teaser Wand – Value $6.18
Sneaky and Angus both thought this was a lot of fun, although Angus pulled the feathers off pretty quickly. (The part with the feathers is really not attached very securely.)
SPOT/Ethical Dura-Fused Leather Butterfly Cat Toy – Value $5.02
I have not encountered many leather toys for cats before. This is a good size for tossing around, though, and Angus has shown a little interest already.
Multipet Scratch Roller – Value $6.99
This is a Monkey item. When I was taking photographs of the items, he kept wanting to get at this. (This also has a hard plastic ball with a bell inside, which is probably what Monkey wanted.) I am going to have to put this in the office rather than the bedroom, though, so someone doesn’t discover it in the middle of the night!
Pet Greens Cat Craves in Salmon (3 oz) – Value $3.79
These treats were super popular. This brand is pretty much always a win with my guys (and gal). Madison tricked me into giving him about nine of them at the same time (I was going for a photo of his tongue…I did eventually get one).
Multipet Spring Mouse – Value $4.99
This toy was also a clear winner. Angus kept trying to run off with it while I was taking photos for the box. (Back in the day when Mr. Kitty could see really well and was on appetite stimulants, he enjoyed chewing on sparkly toys that look like the head of this thing.) The spring part was sort of mesh so the cats could really get their claws in there (not stuck, though).
Gratuitous cat photo time!
Yeah, I got a lot of pictures of Angus. As the youngest cat (by far), he is definitely the most active.
Madison didn’t feel like leaving the bedroom. I consider it a win that he was out on the bed instead of under it.
Monkey really did not want to be bothered the day I took these photos. At least he ate a treat!
Sneaky’s three favorite things – treats, dangly things on sticks, and the sticks themselves!
Here are a couple of shots with Mr. Kitty’s eyes open. If they look messed up, it’s because they ARE messed up. He sees a veterinary ophthalmologist regularly. (There are only four in this state. Thank goodness one of them is less 10 minutes from my house.)
Verdict: I calculated a value of about $27 for the April Pet GiftBox for cats. That is a little bit over the cost of the box on a month-to-month basis. Some of the prices above are sale prices, too, so you could argue the total retail value was over $30. Be sure to use our MSA50 coupon code for 50% off your first box if you are thinking of subscribing. At any rate, the items were pretty popular with my crew, especially the spring mouse and the treats.
