Our Subscription Box Favorites for April!
We’re starting a new monthly post highlighting our favorite discoveries from subscription boxes! Here are our favorite items from the past month:
The Item: Ginger G Cold Shoulder Swing Tee
The Cost: Value $40
From: Golden Tote $149 Tote
Why I love it: I’ve seen the criss-cross neckline and cold shoulder trends popping up everywhere but have yet to find them on a clothing article that worked for me. This shirt has them both on one of my favorite silhouettes: a swing top! It’s so easy to wear and feels like I’m just tossing on a comfortable t-shirt while still feeling chic and trendy.
The Item: Dr Brite Cleansing Mouth Rinse with Vitamin C, 3.4 fl oz Travel Size
The Cost: Value $6
Why I love it: I’m really surprising myself with this top pick. But I loved this product! I hate mouthwash, but I dutifully used this sample every day until it ran out, and I’m kicking myself because I haven’t gotten more yet and I really feel the difference!
The Cost: Value $82
Why I Love It: This is such a fun print – perfect for spring! I can totally wear this to work and it goes with my neon pink pumps. It fits really well, too.
The Item: MSR Alpine Kitchen Set
The Cost: Value $29.95 on Amazon (retail value: $39.95)
Why I love it: I took this with me on a kayaking trip this weekend and it was incredibly handy to have around. The measuring cup was a favorite among our group since most people brought cook-in-bag dehydrated meals. I used the squeeze tubes to bring along some homemade gochujang sauce, which went really well with the pre-cooked chicken cutlets I rolled up in seaweed with veggies. I placed the cutting board on a bare stump to chop up the chicken and used the towel as a hand rag throughout. Very useful little kit and it will be a mainstay on future adventures!
The Cost: Value $6 (on Amazon). No longer available.
Why I love it: I’ve always enjoyed charcoal masks and having it in a sheet mask makes for a less messy experience! The mask was moisturizing and left my skin feeling supple and smooth. It also had a really fresh and fruity scent!
Nancy S’ Favorite:
The Item: Rich Baked Chocolat
Why I love it: Bokksu sends some of the best Japanese snacks ever. I am kind of obsessed with this little pastry. It is soft and airy like a slice of cake but packs a rich, chocolatey punch like a brownie. It’s delightfully bite-sized and not to mention the presentation is pretty, too!
Anna Reilly’s Favorite:
The Item: Buffalo High Rise Skinny Jeans
The Cost: $79.00
Why I love it: I didn’t expect to get jeans in my first ModaBox, and I was super scared to try them on at first (my curvier body has bad luck with jeans). But oh my gosh, my stylist nailed it! They’re cool and comfy and fit my body shape (no awkward gap at the back!) to a T!
The Item: Serafini Pendulum Customizable Earrings
The Cost: $170.00
Why I Love It: These earrings are so gorgeous, simple and elegant. I love their clean shape and lightweight feel. They work with both fancy outfits and jeans a t-shirt. They are one of my all-time favorite subscription box items.
The Box: Trunk Club
The Cost: $25 styling fee per box. (The fee gets deducted from any items you decide to keep)
From: Trunk Club
Why I love it: I couldn’t pick one item that I loved this month. My April Trunk Club was a well-rounded box filled with my true style and balanced price points. My favorite items for the month, though, were Steve Madden Getdown Sandal (cost to keep: $59.95), Socialite High Neck Dress (cost to keep: $34), and Pleione Ruffled Peplum Back Top (cost to keep: $42).
The Item: Lyeska Eye Cream Siberian Cedar Nut – Arctic Root (0.5 fl oz)
The Cost: $52.00
Why I love it: This stuff is the bomb! It leaves my eye area feeling so soft and hydrated. It’s a natural product, handmade and without animal testing, GMOs, parabens, or fragrances. I’ve been using it for about month now and despite the price, I would buy more.
The Item: Activated Charcoal Soap
The Cost: Value $6.00
Why I love It: It’s all natural and some of the ingredients include coconut oil, shea butter, peppermint essential oil and activated charcoal. I have been using this daily on my face and body. It’s lathering, the peppermint is intoxicating and the soap worked well on my face without irritation (my skin is on the normal side).
The Item: Star-Lord + Milano Dorbz Ride
The Cost: Value $20-25?
From: Collector Corps
Why I love it: This was a surprising favorite. I love Funko, but have never been too obsessed with Dorbz figure – but this Milano and Star-Lord Dorbz Ride was my easy favorite for the month!
The Cost: Value $18
Why I love it: This is the natural version of the Bobbi Brown Beach perfume I’ve been searching for! I love it!
