Now, onto the items!

Look-Fantastic-Elle-Beauty-Box-March-2017-0030

Skin Chemists 24 Hour Aqua Repair Facial Serum – FULL SIZE! Value $49.50

Yes to full-size skincare products! And this serum is pretty impressive, too. It was gentle on my skin and absorbed almost immediately. It has a powdery perfume scent, so it might not work for everyone, but I didn’t mind it!

St. Tropez Instant Tan Gloss – 1 oz Value $4.65

This is a wash-off tan product that adds a hint of color and shimmer to your skin. I was impressed with how quickly it dried, and I didn’t have any issues of it rubbing off my clothing. It really made my pale legs look much better without looking like I had applied self-tanner. (Swatched in lower photo.)

PUR Minerals Disappearing Act Concealer in Light – 1.7 g Value $14.50

This creamy conceal provided decent coverage (and this is a great sized sample, too). If you have particularly dark undereye circles like I do, I recommend using a different conceal for that problem area though – this didn’t give me enough coverage without feeling like I was heavily caking it on. (My go-to undereye concealer is IT Cosmetics!)

Here is the concealer swatched underneath the Instant Tan Gloss:

The top swatch is the the tan gloss with no blending, the middle swatch is it blended in.

Starskin Eye Catcher – Value $5.50

Look-Fantastic-Elle-Beauty-Box-March-2017-0026

These eye masks are described as “second skin” and I’d say that’s a pretty accurate description! Unlike other eye mask gels I’ve tried, these didn’t have any type of solid form. (Think of them more as if you cut two eye patches out of a thin sheet mask.)

These are designed to “effectively reduce the appearance of eye puffiness, fine lines, and dark circles, resulting in a refreshed appearance.”

My skin felt hydrated and refreshed after using them – but no amazing visual differences in the appearance of my skin.

Redken Heatcure Mask – Value $7.80

This hair mask felt a little gimmicky to me. You tear off the front label (with the Heat Cure sticker on it), and that activates the heating mechanism. Then you shampoo your hair while you wait for the hair mask to heat up for a few minutes. This results in a warm (not hot) hair mask you apply and leave on for about 10 minutes.

I’m pretty sure I could have gotten the same results by just running the foil packet under hot water for a minute, but I guess this was easier!

The mask itself was lovely. It left my hair super soft. (Not too different from any of the non-heated masks I’ve tried, though!)

Caudalie VineActive 3 in 1 Moisturizer – 15 ml Value $15

I love the scent of this moisturizer! It’s lightweight, hydrating, and absorbs almost instantly – all the markers of a fab skincare product!

And this box includes the latest issue of  Elle UK Magazine:

Value $5

I love getting this mini mag with the box – it’s a fun extra, and the size is great for throwing in your purse, too.

The Verdict: This month’s box has a value of about $1o2 – I think that’s amazing for a $22 beauty box shipped from overseas! (And you can get the $16 a box annual price without having to pay the full amount up front, too.)

Plus I love trying out brands and beauty products that aren’t common in US subscription boxes. The St. Tropez Instant Tan Gloss is a great discovery for summer, too!

  1. I swear this box is 19 if you pay month to month and 16.00 or around that uf you get the whole year but just pay monthly. I could be wrong but I have a feeling I have said this before and no one ever responds.I love this box though. I feel like it’s a treat that has come to me from afar. The beautiful box, the smaller version magazine and 6 plus deluxe size samples(most of the time)…. I love that they ship for free. Almost all brands and products are new to me which is amazing. I have cancelled all other beauty boxes and I’m just keeping this bad boy… They ROCK IT everytime.

    • Yes, that’s correct – you don’t have to pay the annual fee up front. It’s great!!

  2. I used to love this box. But I have been treated like a pile of dog excrement by their customer service and will never buy from them again.

I have changed my address, but two boxes had been shipped to the previous one because their “system is designed that way”. In order to REALLY change it, I had to start a new subscription. Are you kidding me? They are “aware of the problem, but will do nothing to fix it”. Is this North Korea?

As for the boxes – they refused to send replacements. When threatened with a chargeback, they told me “they would be forced to terminate” my account and any new ones I might create in the future.

To say I was chocked is a gross understatement. Kafka would have enjoyed this.

    • It sounds like you ran into a bad egg. I had to correct my address and they were very helpful. I waa able to change my address online through my account. You can edit your subscription info through your account.

  3. The PUR concealer was too dry for under my eyes however I found a new use for it by using it on my eyelids as an eyeshadow primer and buffing it in with a RT crease brush. My shadows didn’t budge all day and the colour was a perfect colour for my skin cancelling out my veins on my lids so I could even use that on it’s own without shadow when I just want to wear mascara but conceal redness on my lids. I actually love it.

    • Thank you for this suggestion! I will definitely try it as an eyeshadow primer!

  4. Wow, I did not realize that serum had such a high RV. The feel of it is nice but the smell makes it seem like a drugstore product. Overall, I’ve been happy with this box for the $14.50 I pay for it. But once my year is over and the price goes up for me I will probably cancel. It’s a good value but in the 6 months I have gotten it I just haven’t received one item that I would repurchase.

  5. The Pur Concealer was not in my box. I emailed them on March 17 to tell them and they told me it would be shipped. I emailed March 30th to ask if it had been mailed and they told me to wait until April 17 to contact them if I had not received it. Well still nothing so I just emailed them again. I sure hope I get it eventually.

    • Oh no! Sorry to hear about that, 🙁

  6. I got my April box today –

  7. It’s 6 but the caudalie item isn’t reviewed.

    • Sorry Caudalie item has been added!

  8. You said there were at least 6 items in each box, I counted only 5.

    • Oops! Just realized I forgot the last item. Just updated the post – it is now 6! 🙂
