LiveGlam just began a new, monthly Liquid Lipstick club! This is a review of their first month.

Each package includes an info card showing the lipsticks included that month.

KissMe-April-2017-info2

This month LiveGlam sent romantic shades that are named after Paris, Milan, and Rome.

LiveGlam KissMe Liquid Lipstick in Milan – Value $19.99

This shade, “Milan,” is described as a matte “burnt red,” but I feel it leans a little pinkish too. It’s a bold, wearable color that I think would complement many skin tones.

LiveGlam KissMe Liquid Lipstick in Paris – Value:$19.99

This shade, “Paris,” is a warm, pinkish nude color. It’s the most neutral shade in this month’s bag. This color could be a great everyday shade that would work for anyone’s coloring. The info card says this is a nude that “has just enough pigment to give you life and won’t wash you out,” but on my pale complexion it’s still quite a pink shade – if you have a medium or darker complexion this will be more of a true nude to you.

LiveGlam KissMe Liquid Lipstick in Rome – Value $19.99

This shade is a deep, brown-red. This is the kind of color I’ve been wearing for Fall/Winter! I really like this color.

LiveGlam Kiss Me Makeup in Bestie – Bonus! Value $19.99

This fourth lipstick is the bonus lipstick you get with your first month – no coupon code required! It’s a really pretty, brownish plum shade. It definitely wears dark and would be an edgy, bold look on any complexion. I’m a fan.

Here are all the lipsticks swatched for you. From top to bottom: Milan, Paris, Rome, Bestie.

And for what it helps, here is each lipstick on me, in the same order. Top: Milan, Paris, Bottom: Rome, Bestie.

Verdict: I really liked the first delivery of the LiveGlam KissMe Lipstick Club! I thought all of the colors were very pretty, flattering, and easily wearable! Especially including the first month bonus shade, “Bestie,” you get a wide range of colors to play with here. I was very happy with the formulas and performance, as well. These definitely dry down matte and stay put for hours. I started really wearing liquid lipsticks when I had just had my son and still wanted to wear my bold lip colors – these pass the kiss test and I don’t get a smudge on him when I kiss him. I found all the formulas to be consistently opaque and had no problems with coverage or streaking in the application. As far as wear time goes, I had perfect coverage for about 4-5 hours until I ate a plate of creamy pasta that I’m sure had plenty of oil and was messy enough to wear off the pigment. I had no problems with drinking and light snacking, though. None of this is any less good a performance than most other liquid lipsticks, I’ve found – oil absolutely takes liquid lipsticks off anyway so if you’re out and about, either be conscious of what/how you eat and just bring your lipsticks for touch-ups to be safe.

The value is there, too! LiveGlam’s value per lipstick is $19.99 so you basically get 3 for the price of 1 (4 for 1 in your first month!). I’m definitely happy with three lipsticks for $19.99, especially when you look at the performance and quality compared to other brands of liquid lipsticks out there as well.

Do people actually go through three lipsticks per month?? I have four on rotation now that I’ve been using since summer/fall…

Felicia

I don’t know about going through three but I am a self-confessed makeup addict with a focus on lip products. I own well over 300 lipsticks some I’ve probably never even worn. It’s a sickness. 🙂 Life would be so much simpler if I could pare it down to four on rotation. Lol.
