Each month comes with a booklet that includes item descriptions as well as other relevant literature. March's box is centered around the Japanese holiday Hinamatsuri, or Girls Festival.

Hishimochi Hoppe-Chan

Hishimochi is a type of mochi popularly eaten during Hinamatsuri. This month's Hoppe-chan looks adorable resting on top of the hishimochi. I love the pink flower and whipped cream details.

Disney Cup

In celebration of the Girls Festival, subscribers were sent one of six Disney cups, and I received Princess Jasmine! This is a tumbler-style plastic cup with beautiful watercolor illustrations all around the sides. I don't know if it's dishwasher safe so I'll play it safe and wash it by hand.

Here is a pen for scale. I really like the size and shape of the cup. It might be my new go-to drinking vessel.

Slim Pen Case

I have a confession to make: Sumikko Gurashi is my newest kawaii addiction. Each creature is ridiculously adorable and their unreadable expressions are hilarious. This pen and pencil case features the creatures as sushi! Most of them look like they're not having a good time. The sleeping penguin is making the most out of his life circumstances, though.

Here is a pen for scale! It is a relatively slim case, so it's good for when you have limited bag space but still want to look stylishly prepared for class.

Sasurai No Tabineco Fuwa Mocchi Plush

This cat plush is the softest thing ever! I love the different colored ears and Tsum Tsum-like body. It comes with a ball chain so you can attach it to bags or keys.

Look at that cute belly button! I have a tiny Tsum Tsum collection going right now so this will be happily added to the mix.

Pote Usa Loppy Clip

This is a binder clip in the shape of Pote Usa Loppy's head! I am all about cute and practical items. The clip has a strong grip that is perfect for keeping my potato chips and other snacks fresh. This is a welcome addition to my kitchen.

Neko Atsume Earphone Jack Charm

I used to play Neko Atsume religiously until I collected all the rare cats in the game. There were multiple charms sent out-- I received Kathmandu (or Maromayu-san in the Japanese version). The charm is made from a matte rubber material. It can be used as a phone audio jack accessory or a bauble for your purse or keychain. I'm going to keep this on my keychain for now.

Doki-Doki-March-2017-Pyon-Plush-Front

Punipuni Pyonpyon Plush

Puni and Pyon are plump rabbits that look like mochi, and they're from Doki Doki's toy line. They're wearing headdress inspired by Hinamatsuri dolls. I received Pyon, who is dressed like an Emperor doll. I love that he is resting on a leaf, which is exactly how some mochi are presented or served.

Verdict: This month's Doki Doki is mostly a win for me. Mostly. The value breaks down to about $4.29 per item. I love the perfect mix of cute and practical items-- my favorite item is a toss up between the cup and the pen case, but everything else is great too. My only concern is that Doki Doki states they send a wearable item every month. One of the biggest claims, and consequently the highest expectations, of the reworked Doki Doki box is that wearable item. However, there was no such item for March. I hope that they successfully include such an item for next month.

I subscribed being told that there would be a TSHIRT every month.. then without warning it turned into a WEARABLE.. now that isnt even there. So glad I quit this box. I have alot more fun with Yume Twins and of course PUSHEEN but the best kawaii box out there is def Q BOX!! Im also completely turned off about their move to Japan.. they sounded like it was the best thing ever and such great news.. but how many Americans lost their jobs so they could save money on shipping? Wont be saving MY money! No way!

I actually recognized some of the products this month! I also played the Neko game until there wasn’t anything left to do/buy. Great review!

I think the wearable spoiler is for Aprils box. March’s spoilers matched up to what you posted. according to my email spoilers from Doki Doki

I meant that there should be a wearable item every month as stated by Doki Doki on their website, which wasn’t the case this month.
