I'm very serious when I say these are one of the tastiest peanut butter cookies I've ever had. Of course, a lot of it comes down to personal preference, so I roped in a couple of friends to taste test as well (they didn't need much convincing).

First of all, the cookies are very thick. The ones I make at home are always flat and thin. One of the benefits of having a thick cookie is the ability to contain generous amounts of peanuts and chocolate chunks. Sure enough, I get at least one chocolate chunk and peanut in every bite.

Second of all, the rich flavor is fantastic. One friend described it as the perfect balance of sweet and salty flavors without being too overwhelming in either direction. She said cookies rarely get the salt balance right, but this one nails it. My boyfriend loved that Cookie Luv uses whole peanuts instead of chopped peanuts-- he said it gave the cookies a heartier crunch. I personally love the chocolate-to-cookie ratio. Each cookie is really rich so that eating just one is enough for me.

One friend pointed out that the cookies are a little too dry, which makes them crumble too easily. I thought the crumbly texture was fine.

Verdict: This month's Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies get top marks all around. I can vouch for its high-quality ingredients and amazing taste. However, this box is the equivalent of paying around $1.92 per cookie before shipping. Shipping fees bring the cost up to about $2.42 per cookie, which is pretty pricey no matter how you look at it. For comparison's sake, I looked at Insomnia Cookies, which is a popular cookie joint around my area since I live in a college town. Their cookies cost $1.50 each and the price goes down if you order multiple. For Insomnia Cookies, a dozen cookies plus a gift box and delivery fee costs less than a dozen from Cookie Luv. Granted, Cookie Luv offers better tasting cookies, but I don't know if it's the most cost-effective subscription out there.

If you're interested in Cookie Luv, I suggest using our MSA20 coupon on your first box, which brings the cost down to $18.39 + $6 shipping or getting a three-month subscription, which brings the cost down to $20.69 per month + $6 shipping.

What do you think of Cookie Luv?
