Cat Claws Club is a bimonthly subscription box for cats filled with lots of toys, treats, and other surprises.  (They just use whatever box will fit the items, so it varies from month to month, but it allows for some unusual item shapes, which can be fun!)

I had a “helper” for this photo session.  And oh, how helpful she was!

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

The Subscription Box: Cat Claws Club

The Cost: $33.90 a box ($24.95 subscription price + $8.95 shipping)

The Products: Lots of cat items, mostly toys, including some exclusive and/or new items.

Good to know: Although PayPal checkout shows as an option for this subscription, you can’t actually pay for the subscription with PayPal.  I checked out that way the first time and they contacted me, processed a PayPal refund, and I had to resubscribe with a credit card number.

Ships to: U.S. ($8.95)

Included was a brochure with more information about the products.

Colorful Candy Sticks3-count – Total Value $8.85

Angus was a little interested in these, but they were clearly Monkey items. They have a canvas sort of outer texture and that is something Monkey just loves. He got ahold of one of them and licked it until it was absolutely wet. (If your cat likes Yeowww! or similar toys, these sticks will likely be a hit for you.)

cat-claws-club-april-2017-dish

Omnipet Stainless Steel Anti-Ant Dish – Value $12.81

This dish is supposed to keep ants out due to the design of the bottom, which is raised a little. I never feed my pets or let them outside, but I don’t like washing Sneaky’s food dish (she eats beef wet food) and this will allow me to get by a little longer between cleanings (she has like five dishes now).

Imperial Cat Donut Toy – Value $5.95

This is a lightweight toy (my cats seem to prefer that – easier to toss around, I guess). I looked through my stash and found a lot of cat toys that look like human food, actually. I guess that’s a thing. Some of my cats would probably eat a real donut if given the opportunity.

Imperial Cat Cat ‘n Around Refillable Cupcake – Value $5.95

This is a smaller refillable toy and Monkey really wanted to just open it and eat the catnip out (it comes with a bit of catnip inside the packaging). It is pretty lightweight, even when filled.

Imperial Cat Snack ‘n Treat Easy Grow Oat Greens, 4 oz – Value $4.95

These are oats that you plant to get oat grass. Monkey and Mr. Kitty like to nibble on grass like this (and it doesn’t seem to make Mr. Kitty sick), so I am always happy to get more.

Inaba Ciao Churu Tuna Recipe4 tubes x 0.5 oz each – Value $2.99

Cat Claws Club sends these out fairly often but we’ve never gotten a whole package before. I am never sad to see these, though – my cats love them and they make for some of the funniest photos, ever. (I actually bought like 8 packages of them not so long ago.)

Angus didn’t really get what to do with this. But he’ll learn.

I like cat tongue pictures so here is one (with toys from the box).

Treats are seriously the only way I can get Madison out from under the bed for photos these days. He ate this whole packet by himself, though.

I never get tired of taking photos of my cats eating these tuna paste things.

Although Monkey did stop for a moment to investigate this toy. (He also licked it until it was wet.)

Sneaky was so eager to eat this stuff, I thought she was going to inhale the foil packet. I love the second photo of her, especially.

Mr. Kitty took a moment to sniff this toy. Then he went back to sleep. What can I say? He is old and in ill health (his one eye is enlarged due to corneal damage – he sees a veterinary ophthalmologist regularly, don’t worry).

Verdict: I calculated a value of $41.50 for the April Cat Claws Club. That is one of the best values I’ve encountered for this box. The toys were hits (especially the candy stick things) and Mr. Kitty will get to enjoy the cat grass (once it grows enough to give to him), plus I am always happy to see more of the tuna purees.

I know it wasn’t your intention, but in your description of the bowl you said “I never feed my cats” and it made me laugh lol. I know you meant you don’t feed them outside, but the way it’s written was funny to me. Anyway, love these reviews because your cats are so dang cute!

I love, love, love the mattress ticking fabrics for crafting, and I never saw them before as “outers” for catnip – what a great idea! Much better than fleece or felt for holding up to the saliva.
