Birchbox-Man-March-2017-0001

Birchbox Man is a monthly grooming and lifestyle subscription box for men. Each month, you’ll receive 3-4 sample size items to try along with another lifestyle item that you can select. The selection process opens about a month before shipping and, typically, allows you to pick 1 of 3 selection items.

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

POPPIN Accessory Trip – Value $16

Each month, Birchbox Man allows you to select one lifestyle item for your upcoming box. This month, I went with the POPPIN accessories trio – it includes a tray, pen, and notebook.

The tray is on the small side – but will still be perfect for my desk. I love the pop of color, too!

The pen writes very smoothly – which is probably my only requirement of a pen.

and the POPPIN notebook is a simple little notebook – nothing too flashy. Simple and streamline seems like the theme of the three items.

V76 by Vaughn Detox Body Bar – 1 oz – Value $2.80 (based off of $14 full-size item)

This soap has such a strong scent that it is sure to wake you up in the morning!

The soap is made from detoxifying mineral clay and packs a citrus/lemon scent.

Billy Jealousy Headlock Molding Cream – .25 oz – Value $2 (based on $16 full-size item)

I got a high-hold hair cream from Billy Jealousy.

This one is a miss for me since I don’t use any product on my hair. But, it’s a creamy, scentless, cream that will easily apply.

English Laundry Windsor – .06 oz – Value $1.24 (based on $70 full-size item)

This cologne has more of a classic cologne scent that I really dislike – so this one isn’t a keeper for me.

Harry’s Lip Balm SPF 15 – Value $3

The last item in the April box is a lip balm from Harry’s. It has a minty scent, and even feeling, which I like. In addition to a general balm, it’s also an SPF 15.

Verdict: Even with two misses this month, there is still enough value in the items I like to make this a win for me. The POPPIN desk accessories are going to be an awesome addition to my desk! The lifestyle items tend to be similar types of items each month – you’ll see a lot of portable batteries, socks, and underwear – but I still love that part of Birchbox’s men’s box – I love getting new socks as much as possible!

What do you think of the April Bichbox Man? Which lifestyle item did you select?
