Now, onto the items!
Based on the photo from this page, I assumed this cleanser would be a liquid formula, but it is actually solid in the jar:
It can be used as a regular cleanser or as a mask. My first impressions:
- I love the scent. It’s a lovely natural blend that smells heavenly!
- This is made with honey, so it is sticky! It’s a shower only product for me.
- The exfoliation isn’t as gentle as I was expecting for a daily cleanser. (Test this on a patch of skin first if you have sensitive skin.)
After deciding to use it as a cleanser/exfoliator, I’m really impressed with the results. Not only did my skin feel soft and clean after using it, it also felt more moisturized.
Lilfox Cleopatra Restorative Milk + Honey Beauty Mask – 1 oz Value $26
This is the sidekick item for the month – it’s also an exclusive launch! Beauty Heroes subscribers get to try this before it’s available for sale on the site!
This sample is filled to the brim, and it’s a powder you blend with water, so there is a lot of product uses here!
It’s designed to soften, detoxify, and tone skin. You can blend it with water to make a mask, or mix it with your cleanser of choice. (They even recommend mixing it with the Jungle Glow cleanser for an extra indulgent mask.)
Out of the two products, this was my second favorite (the Jungle Glow wins on scent alone), but I still like it. And it’s probably a better fit for anyone with sensitive skin.
Verdict: This month’s Beauty Heroes box has a value of $101. I think that’s a good value for the cost, and I appreciate that Beauty Heroes sends top-quality natural and organic brands.
