4.2 overall rating
12 Ratings | 4 Reviews

The Honest Company offers five different “bundle” subscriptions: Essentials (household items), Diapers & Wipes, Health & Wellness (vitamins), Organic Infant Formula + DHA  and Beauty.

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

This review is of the Diapers & Wipes Bundle, $79.95 a month, box.

Note from Liz: In late 2016, The Honest Company was in the news about cancellation issues. Phone wait times were reported at up to half an hour in some cases. Honest Company has made some changes in response, and you are now able to cancel bundles online from your Account Settings, or via online chat. (Commenters also let us know that Honest Company has a call-back feature if you want to call but don't want to wait on hold.)

Honest Company Diaper bundles are always huge since they have enough (or more than enough) for a month! Here's what I got in my March delivery.

If you're not familiar with this subscription, here are the basics: You always get 6 packs of diapers and 4 packs of wipes each month. For the diapers, you can select your favorite patterns, and Honest will randomly pick for you depending on what's available. You can swap in Overnight Diapers or Pull-Up style diapers for any of the 6 packs. You can even change the size on just some of the diapers, and you can also add on extra products for a 25% discount.

1 packs of Honest Overnight Diapers, size 6 - Regularly $13.95/pack ($0.63/diaper), save 22% with subscription

These have been pretty good for us in the last month. My son still seems to be oscillating between size 5 and 6, so occasionally we still have leaks. I have yet to meet an overnight diaper from any brand that is 100% reliable and dry, but the convenience of getting these delivered with my usual bundle keeps me coming back.

4 packs of Honest Diapers, size 6 - Regularly $13.95/pack ($0.63/diaper), save 22% with subscription

More new prints this month, yay! The breakfast print is still one of my favorites, but the rainclouds and insect themed prints were way too cute to pass up. Since I opened up all the packs to take some photos, my son also had a blast looking at all the different designs and picking out which one he wanted to wear first.

He picked the rainclouds. 🙂

I also love that these are all appropriate for all kids and aren't overly girly or boyish. The fun prints make Honest Diapers one of my favorite baby shower gifts!

Honest Training Pants, 2T/3T - Regularly $12.95/pack ($0.49/pair)

We had a few really good days of talking about using the potty right around when my bundle was shipping, so I went ahead and swapped one pack of diapers for these training pants in this month's shipment.

In reality, I don't think he's ready for full-time potty training yet (he'll only be two in a couple weeks), but I'm happy to have these on hand when the time comes.

I had to get the construction themed print because my guy LOVES all manners of trucks and building equipment. These are pretty similar to the Honest Diapers, but with pull-up sides. We haven't used them just yet, but I'll be sure to report back when we do.

4 pack of Honest Wipes - $18.95 ($4.95 individually)

Honest Wipes are still my favorite baby wipes, and they work great for us. They have a good texture, are not scented, and are gentle on my kid.

With an older child, you just do not go through wipes fast enough to use 4 packs/month. I think we average using just two packs/month if we use them on only diaper changes, so lately I've been using them for quick hand/face cleanups after mealtime, too.  And now that it's warm enough that they won't freeze, I also started stashing one pack in the car to wipes my hands after pumping gas.

I also got a FREE add-on this month:

honest-company-diapers-bundle-march-2017-bubble-bath

Honest Bubble Bath, 12 oz – $11.95 ($8.96 with the add-on discount when you subscribe)

Honest seems to offer a free add-on or another kind of bonus gift to subscribers once every quarter or so, so I was happy to pick up more bubble bath this time around! This is tear-free, and the sweet orange vanilla scent is sweet and fresh. I wondered last time I ordered this if taking lots of bubble baths would make my son's skin drier from all the soap, but it hasn't been an issue at all.

The bubbles last a long time in the tub, too - sometimes I catch myself looking at the clock and I realize we've been playing with bubbles for half an hour!

honest-company-diapers-bundle-march-2017-bubble-bath-comparison

For some reason, this particular bottle of bubble bath (left) is significantly darker in color and thicker than my last batch from January (right). It seems like it produces more bubbles, too! I liked it the first time, but if this is the typical formulation then I love it more... though I'm wondering why it's inconsistent.

Verdict: For $79.95 this month, I got $113 worth of products at their regular retail prices, delivered right to my door. My verdict is always the same: Honest is a little pricier than other diaper brands, but the quality and convenience are great. The add-on products have always been a hit with us, and I love that they let you pick a free bonus item or some other subscriber gifts every few months! The new prints are also so cute; I'm always pleasantly surprised by the new designs.

I ordered honest company diapers and that gave my daughter a SEVERE diaper rash within an hour. She doesn’t have any allergies or sensitive skin. Her bottom was bleeding within 12 hours!!! I switched her back to our go to brand and within two hours the rash was so much better. Don’t know what’s in these diapers to cause THAT! But I have read some pretty awful stuff. Now I am not one to believe word of mouth, but since I have written to the company three times and get no response except emails offering me this service aka more diapers!!!! I cannot say anything good about honest company. I even reached out to online live chat with my concerns. They apologized and said they would have someone contact me right away. It’s been a month. In fact, other than this comment I’m debating contacting the BBB. Don’t buy the diapers and also don’t support a company who only contacts you to sell you stuff and make money!

I’m a bit confused on exactly what to expect in the diaper and wipe trial bundle ($5.95)… How many of each item will I receive?? I ordered size 3 diapers if that matters.
Thank you. -L

Hi Laura, the trial bundle is just to let you test out the diapers and wipes to see if you like them. You get 7 diapers and a travel pack of 10 wipes.

Okay so I opted for the free trial pack and to my surprise I was actually able to cancel my subscription online only 30min after. The only thing is I’m wondering since I cancelled before I got my trial pack will I still receive it or will they cancel the whole order right away since it didn’t technically go through, I still want my trial pack I just didn’t want to wait till it arrived to cancel as I’m so forgetful this pregnancy, has anyone else done this and still received their free trial pack and if not did they still get charged for shipping or shipping fees reimbursed ? Thank you
