Texas-Market-January-2017-Collateral

This month's theme is: "Rise and Shine: Hello 2017! It's a new year and a new day. Start your day off on a positive note with this fun breakfast box, filled with morning necessities from some of our favorite Texas makers. Happy New Year y'all!" The  February Theme Sneak Peek is  "A Taste of Texas."

Texas-Market-January-2017-Info-Card

My Texas Market always includes an info card with details about the items included in the box. This month, there were 5 items included, and they gave a little background about the artisans and the items.

Texas-Market-January-2017-Candle-Honey-Closed

Cinnamon Buns Mini Soy Candle - The Tiny Collection - Value $6.00

This candle is eco-friendly and clean burning. It is crafted in small batches and made from soy wax. This candle smells delicious - exactly like cinnamon rolls!

The King and I, Blueberry Whipped Honey - Value $8.00?

This honey is a combination of crystallized honey, dried blueberries, and blueberry extract. It is delicious! I used this on a bit of toast with some butter and it was the perfect addition to my morning toast.

Texas-Market-January-2017-Honey-Candle-Open

Here you can see the little bits of dried blueberries in the honey...yummy!

Texas-Market-January-2017-Coffee-Cup

Blue Heron Form - "Fake it 'Till You Make It" Mug - Value $7.00?

This mug is life. I love it! I love that it is a standard size mug and the picture on it is just adorable. It features a goat and the phrase "Fake it 'Till You Make It." The goat has fabulous hair too...this will definitely cheer up any breakfast table.

District Roasters - Farmer's Market Blend Coffee - Value $10.35?

This coffee has notes of "deep chocolate with hints of cinnamon and caramel." It smells and tastes more of a medium roast, but I am not a coffee expert!

Texas-Market-January-2017-Coffee-Beans

Here's a glance at the coffee beans. I enjoyed this coffee quite a bit.

Texas-Market-January-2017-Bona-Dea

Bona Dea - Gluten Free Baking Mix - Value $5.99

This baking mix can be used for pancakes, waffles, or crepes and it is gluten free. It is made with whole grains and is allergen-free as well. The method of making these is really simple and they suggest adding chocolate chips, bananas, berries, or flaxseeds.

Verdict: My Texas Market is one of my favorite boxes each month. I think they often hit their themes right on the nose - almost every box I've received has seemed cohesive, with items that meet the criteria of the theme. My Texas Market promises to meet their $35.00 cost each month and they always do. This month, two of the items were guesses price wise, but if my estimates are correct, the value is around $37.00.

Bekki first discovered subscription boxes in 2014 and they quickly took over her life! (Not quite, but pretty close.) She started with POPSUGAR Must Have, then moved to Little Lace Box, Birchbox, Hamptons Lane...the rest was history. Her favorite product find is Beekman 1802 Fudge (so, so good) and her favorite boxes are Birchbox and Hamptons Lane...but she's always looking for a new subscription to try!

Love that honey! We live close by, and the profits go to benefit The Refuge at Grace Camp-a shelter for women and children that are victims of sex slavery or abuse.

Cow can that be confused for a goat?

It’s a “the dress” moment for livestock! Is this cow/goat white and gold, or blue and black?

Bahaha! Definitely a goat, ladies! Look at its weird little eyes.

Another box that looks amazing! I need to get this!

I am pretty sure that is a cow. Of course I may just be drunk again.

The mug appears to be from a goat farm. (And, sadly, it does not appear to be for sale online.) What this says or doesn’t say about your sobriety…no clue 😂
