This was the info letter that came in the package. This month, eight people received a Fitbit Charge 2 Heart Rate + Fitness Wristband! Next month at least 10 people will receive an Air Fryer in the mini box. What’s an Air Fryer, by the way?

This sticker was also included, reminding subscribers to check their mystery discount on 13 Deals, the MMBoA’s parent site.

The final piece of literature in my package this month was a coupon for Hello Fresh.

Big Bang Theory Kitty Cup – Value $4.94

I don’t watch The Big Bang Theory, but this is still a nice, useful plastic cup. It’s 20 oz. I love the kitty graphic! I have only heard good things about The Big Bang Theory, so I might have to check it out some time.

Pez Headz Bearz, 5 oz. – Value$0.85

We have received these in the MBoA before, and of course the kids love them because they are just pure sugar. So, I figured out the best method of dealing with them is to break them out when the kids are playing in a group of children. That way no one gets too much all at once, and I get them out of the house!

Kikkerland Vibrating Alien Head Massager – Value $7.99

Haha! I think this is positively ridiculous, but my husband and nine-year-old both love it. I don’t really get any therapeutic value from this type of vibrating head massager, but they both think it’s awesome. To each his own!

Sprigs Earbags, 2 pair – Total Value $30 ($15 each)

These are bandless ear muffs! These are also hilarious, and this time my husband agrees with me. We don’t have a lot of use for ear muffs here in Georgia, but even when it’s super chilly I don’t think we would wear them. The best part about receiving these was my husband saying, “[Our nine-year-old] has been wanting some ear muffs, but let’s not show him these.”

Verdict: This month’s Mini Mystery Box of Awesome was a mix of hits and misses, as usual. The cup and massager will go to use, and the gummies are long gone. The value this month is about $44, which is outstanding for a $10 box.

What do you think of the Mini Mystery Box of Awesome? What did you get?

  1. I can’t use any of the stuff in the box. The massager doesn’t work and that’s after I tried new batteries. I am canceling it and that is proving to be difficult online. I will have to call. I can’t get into my account and when asked to reset my password it never comes to my email address.

  2. I think this box would make a great White Elephant gift.

  3. Think of an air fryer as a little mini convection oven. The idea is to “fry” things without as much oil as a traditional deep fryer. Spritzing things with a bit of oil helps to get the fried texture. Otherwise, people make everything (including cake and mac and cheese) in them, though sometimes that requires purchasing other accessories depending on your model.

  4. This whole box is great. I think that head massage thing would be really awesome when I had a headache and the earmuffs are great.

  5. I also love those earmuffs. I’ve never seen any like them

  6. I would actually love those ear muffs! lol My ears get so cold so easily. I wonder if they’d stay on? (Off to swaps to see if anyone has them listed yet!)

I also love the kitty cup. Very cute.

  7. I love the ear muffs! My husband had/has surfers ear. He got them both drilled 3 years ago. So he has to wear ear muffs so the bone doesn’t grow back. Too bad they don’t make ones that look like Princess Lea’s Cinnabon. He would totally wear those around!

    • Lol!
