Wild Instincts Bumble Bee – Value $7.99
This was a little big for tossing but it was good for snuggling. A couple of the cats rubbed their chins on it, which I think is a good sign. The level of detail is fun for owners (most cat toys don’t score well in terms of realism).
Bells & Bows Organic Catnip Toy by Furry & Fancy – Value $5.95
This is proof you don’t need a fancy shape in a catnip toy, though. Sneaky thought this was fun. It is very soft and it does have a little bell so it is up on a shelf right now (we keep the cat toys in the bedroom most of the time and we don’t want to hear a little bell at night…).
Housecat Club Organic Catnip Taco – Value $6
This is a very small toy (see the scale in the photo with Mr. Kitty) but that is cool because my cats prefer small toys. This is well-made and has been particularly popular with Angus (no surprise there).
Catit Eco Terra Toys – Value $9.12
Monkey thought these were interesting but Angus did most of the playing. I managed to get a few action shots and you will see those below. They are made of cornhusk and raffia and use recycled packaging.
Pet Greens Cat Craves (salmon, 3 oz) – Value $3.79
These were the most popular treats among my crew we’ve had for awhile. Everyone wanted them and everyone except Mr. Kitty ate at least one (and he would have if he had been allowed). They don’t smell too fishy, either. (These are semi-moist cat treats made in the USA.)
Gratuitous cat photo time:
Angus had so much fun with these little cornhusk and raffia mice!
He liked the treats, too.
Madison inspects a mouse toy.
Madison takes a treat. (Black cats are DIFFICULT to photograph!)
Monkey was out of sorts this day. But he did want a treat.
Sneaky’s like “Oh no, not pictures again.”
Down the hatch!
Mr. Kitty with the taco toy. He is a challenge to photograph for entirely different reasons than Madison is.
Verdict: I calculated a value of $32.85 for the March Meowbox. That is right about at the cost of the box on a month-to-month basis and is one of the better values I’ve seen from this box for a long while. (I’d still recommend using our ADDICTION coupon and/or a multi-month subscription because this box usually runs a little low.) This was a pretty good month for us with the treats and the raffia/cornhusk mice being the most popular items.
What did you think of the March 2017 Meowbox? Do you subscribe to any cat boxes?
