It comes with a detailed card that lays out the month’s choices. From time to time, they’ll show concept art and original ideas with details on how they landed on choosing your items for the month- take time to read these, they have cool details!

Monthly Patch and Pin – Value $10?

Each month will always include a pin and patch – everything in this box has only one character involved in the graphic – SUPERMAN!

Superman Shirt – Value $15?

This month’s shirt features Superman with a comic book cover like graphic. I’m never the biggest fan of POP figures on the shirts, but I’m liking this design more than most.

Classic Superman POP – Value $25?

My favorite POP price resource, POP Price Guide is offline (hopefully not for good), so I’m ballparking the value based on past POPs.

Superman is looking, well, super! I love the flowing cape designs and he’s got the classic hair style. I think they nailed ‘Classic Superman’.

First Appearance Superman Figure – Value $10-15?

This is a unique item all around. This is the first action figure of this type, with this articulation, that I’ve seen from Funko (it’s not a ReAction figure).

The figure features the original Superman insignia that was only featured in Action Comics #1.

The ball joint articulation at the shoulder make Superman much more poseable!

Even the packaging is cool – this might be a good candidate to keep in the package!

Superman Pocket POP – Value $10?

You’ll get three vinyl figures this month – the last is a Pocket POP. I typically love Pocket POPs because you can unscrew the keychain and use it as a mini POP. But, since he’s flying, you can’t do that here – I’ll have to find a place to hang Superman.

Superman (Action Comics) #1  – Value $3.99 + Exclusive Variant Cover

You’ll also get a copy of the re-published Action Comics #1 with a POP variant cover.

Verdict: While the POP was simple – it’s one of my favorites that I’ve received recently – there’s just a lot of little detail in it that I like. Overall, this box is all about Superman and features only Superman. I like that about this box – there’s time to do a Superman villains box, so I like that the first Superman box was just Superman. Please do this with Batman!

  1. I’m not a superman fan, but I didn’t mind this box. The action figure was cooler up close than the initial pic made it seem. I’ll definitely keep it. I sold the Pop for $25 so I already made my money back. I do however wish they’d stop with the pop keychains. They’re too big to fit on a keychain and are cheaply made.

  2. Just saw The Lineup is coming out with Creepy Crate sub. Think you’ll review it??

  3. Fun box!
