kidpik is a seasonal clothing subscription for girls. You can either choose to receive 1 box per season (4 per year), 2 boxes per season (8 per year), or a box every month. All the pieces are really well-made, and the designs are unique to kidpik. I think the easiest way to think of kidpik is that it is essentially Stitch Fix for girls, but with no styling fee. kidpik designs and produces all of its own apparel and accessories.

kidpik is celebrating its first anniversary this spring. Our first kidpik review was of a spring box as personalized for my younger daughter. We loved it and so we were excited to see what was in store this spring. kidpik was kind enough to send a box for each of my daughters.

These 2 boxes were sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Box 1

Let’s take a look at M’s box first.

When you sign up, they ask for your girl’s name and use it to personalize the box for her. This box was styled for my 8-year-old daughter and I just used her initial. Usually, the girl’s first name will be included here. My daughter was especially excited this whole box was just for her!

kidpik-profile1

When you first sign up, you fill out a style profile for your girl. It is fun and easy to complete. And accurate. If you want to see details about this, you can see more here. Both of my daughters are very girly, love dresses and most colors, and I rated each of them a 10 out of 10 on the question about how much your girl loves sparkles.

Ok, let’s see what we’ve got! (This box was styled based on our preferences so what you receive could be totally different.) Looks interesting!

There are a couple of different bags.

kidpik-spring-2017-surprise-M2

Iron on patches. We are off to a colorful and fun start!

kidpik-spring-2017-bag-M1

The next bag is reusable as a drawstring backpack.

kidpik-spring-2017-shoe1

Juno Glitter Slip On - Price $22.50. (Keep All Price $15.75)

M had no shoes like this at all before this subscription box and although she immediately loved them, I wasn't sure how often she would reach for these. It turns out they are surprisingly versatile and she has worn them to dressier occasions as well as to school a number of times.

kidpik-spring-2017-shoe2

They are easy to slip on and off and have kid-safe soles. Perfect.

kidpik-spring-2017-backpack1

Metallic Backpack - Price $17.50. (Keep All Price $12.25)

M actually squealed when she saw this backpack. How cool!

kidpik-spring-2017-backpack2

Adjustable straps and a magnetic closure. And it goes great with the shoes!

kidpik-spring-2017-info-card-m1

Here is the information card that comes with the subscription box. The front is personalized with my daughter’s name again. Kids love to see their names on things.

The inside gives information on how kidpik works and a breakdown of all the items in the subscription box.

Now let’s look at what was underneath those bags:

kidpik-spring-2017-floral-top1

Floral Pleated Top - Price $19.50. (Keep All Price $13.65)

This is a lightweight floral top with an interior lining. It is so pretty and my daughter loves it. I washed it a few times already and it has held up perfectly.

kidpik-spring-2017-floral-top2

My 7-year-old son is patiently waiting on kidpik to start doing boxes for boys. I hear him. I wish they would make several of these items in women’s sizes as well!

kidpik-spring-2017-short1

kidpik-spring-2017-short2

Classic Short – Price $12.50 (Keep All Price $8.75)

These are fitted, garment dyed shorts with an adjustable waistband. All clothing I have seen in kidpik boxes is machine washable.

kidpik-spring-2017-denim-jeans-M1

White Pull On Denim Jean – Price $15.50 (Keep All Price $10.85)

These jeans have a skinny fit, but an elastic waistband that makes them extra comfortable for girls. They go perfectly with the floral top in this box and plenty of other items in her wardrobe.

kidpik-spring-2017-denim-jeans-M2

Each kidpik profile allows you to select whether your girl likes to wear jeans and her preferred cut.

kidpik-spring-2017-scuba-dress1

kidpik-spring-2017-scuba-dress2

Rhinestone Neck Scuba Dress – Price $27.50 (Keep All Price $19.25)

This dress is so fun! It is made of a fabric that has a squishy feel to it exactly like a scuba suit. It works especially well for giving body to the skirt and is very fun to spin in.

Rhinestone details.

kidpik-spring-2017-jean-jacket1

Jean Jacket – Price $22.50 (Keep All Price $15.75)

The last item in this box is this jean jacket which is a useful layering piece for spring. It has an enzyme stone wash and functional pockets.

kidpik-spring-2017-jean-jacket2

Back details. Some of the items in kidpik boxes, including this jacket, can also be found in their Basics shop. The shop has other items I haven't seen in boxes myself and can be sorted by color among other things.

Let’s see these clothes in action and then take a look at the box for my younger daughter! There are also photos of the girls together later in the review.

Box 2

kidpik-spring-2017-box-open-f1

Let’s take a look at F’s box now!

kidpik-spring-2017-box_f.jpg

F also has a couple of bags near the top of her box.

kidpik-spring-2017-surprise-F2

She also received the iron on patches. The girls were excited to match!

kidpik-spring-2017-bag-F1

Let’s see what is inside her drawstring backpack!

kidpik-spring-2017-shoes2

Sequin Hi Top - Price $29.50. (Keep All Price $20.65)

One of the things we think kidpik does best is shoes. Both of my girls are slightly obsessed with these. They have a zipper for ease of access and my 5-year-old is able to put them on herself. kidpik calls this color "Ballerina" and that seems an appropriate name to me.

kidpik-spring-2017-shoes3

Non-slip bottoms. I told F to stay out of mud puddles with them and so far they are looking really good for how much she has worn them. So adorable!

kidpik-spring-2017-head-wrap

Glitter Braided Head Wrap - Price $1.50. (Keep All Price $1.05)

We also have this in pink from a previous kidpik box and it comfortably fits both girls.

kidpik-spring-2017-info-card-f1

Here is the information card that came with this second box. The front is personalized with my daughter’s name.

kidpik-spring-2017-info-card-f2

Detailed breakdown.

Now let’s look at what was underneath those bags:

kidpik-spring-2017-check-shirt1

Check Shirt - Price $15.50. (Keep All Price $10.85)

This is a soft, button-down shirt in a classic pattern. It is lightweight and will work well for spring and summer. All of the items in the kidpik boxes fit true to size and hold up well through repeated laundry cycles.

kidpik-spring-2017-lace_skirt

Lace Tiered Skirt – Price $24.50 (Keep All Price $17.15)

How beautiful is the lace on this skirt?! Love it! It has a black elastic waistband that toughens it up a bit and makes it wearable on a daily basis.

kidpik-spring-2017-denim-blue-jeans-F1

kidpik-spring-2017-denim-blue-jeans-F2

Pull On Denim Jean – Price $15.50 (Keep All Price $10.85)

My younger daughter received the same blue jeans that my older daughter received in white. These are a size 6 which is what she normally wears. They fit the same way as they do on my other daughter.

kidpik-spring-2017-color-bloc-sweatshirt-F1

kidpik-spring-2017-color-bloc-sweatshirt-F2

Girl Style Color Bloc Sweatshirt – Price $19.50 (Keep All Price $13.65)

This is a cozy sweatshirt that works well with all the pieces in this box and other items F already owns.

kidpik-spring-2017-floral-skater-dress1

Floral Marine Skater Dress – Price $22.50 (Keep All Price $15.75)

This is a skater dress with a semi-sheer mesh overlay detailing near the neckline and bottom of the skirt. F really likes it because it is comfortable and very girly.

Let’s see these clothes in action and then both of the girls together!

kidpik-spring-2017-action-f1

kidpik always does a great job with sending pieces that mix and match easily. I always end up thinking each of these boxes is essentially its own capsule wardrobe.

kidpik-spring-2017-action-f2

kidpik-spring-2017-action-f3

If for some reason, you don’t like the subscription box, you have one week to return it and pay nothing. Awesome.

kidpik-spring-2017-action-f4

Plus, if you keep the whole box, which we will probably always do especially since everything works so well together, you get the 30% discount so the price would be $96.25 for the first box and $89.95 for the second box. I call that a deal!

Some final photos of the girls together!

kidpik-spring-2017-action-together1

kidpik-spring-2017-action-together2

kidpik-spring-2017-action-together3

Verdict: We love kidpik and are very excited to see what they send next! The quality is great and my daughters love wearing their new clothes! The price for all the items in the first box is $137.50 if we purchase everything separately. The total for the second box is $128.50 if purchased separately. I noticed that there is sales tax charged on these 2 boxes as well now which I think is likely because these boxes shipped from CA and we are in CA. We are normally charged taxes on clothing here. Considering the quality of the items, the fact that the styling service, shipping to us and any return shipping is thrown in, the time I saved not having to go out looking for these items, not to mention the free gift, I think that is a more than fair price. If you are on the fence about trying this one, give it shot.

Just received our first pik on Saturday (bummer, my daughter is staying with her grandma for the next several days for spring break, so we didn’t get to open it together) and everything is really cute and I love that it’s all coordinated. I repacked everything and set it on her bed so she can enjoy unpacking it as well. For the price, I think this is fantastic, and everything looks like it’s made pretty well.

I wish they shipped to Canada! This looks great!

I wish they sold these clothes for women! I especially love the sequin sneakers and the lace skirt. I would buy them in a heartbeat! ❤️ 🙂

Why can’t they make this for adults?!?!? I’d wear all of that! lol

My first couple of boxes started out great. We kept everything. Now it seems like they have my girls completely mixed up! My sporty/edgier dresser has been getting sparkles and frilly stuff while my girly girl has been getting all of the edge. Checked the profiles and I just don’t get it. It’s cute stuff but sized for the wrong girl! Will say that the process for returning is very easy.

Thanks for the review! I just signed up my DD. It’s so hard to shop for her because she does not have the same style as I do at all. Crossing my fingers that the curators have better luck! =D

My daughter is probably an 11/10 when it comes to liking sparkly stuff, lol.

Your girls are adorable and this sub looks cute. The prices seem reasonable for children’s clothing. I may subscribe to this box.

Thanks for the review! I just signed up for my 5 year old. I’m hoping this will make things a little easier on me constantly needing clothes! 🙂

We got my younger daughters box a couple of weeks ago and she loves everything she got. She got the same shoes as M. For some reason my older daughters box hasn’t shipped yet. The first couple of boxes we received I really wasn’t sure about, but I am really starting to love this sub. I think they just had to figure out my girls style. We paid $71 for 7 items including the pair of shoes and I think that’s pretty good! Can’t wait to see what my other daughter gets!

This looks great! Might have to try this for my daughter. She got a couple outfits from fabkids, but I had a really hard time exchanging a pair of shoes, so I cancelled that membership. The clothing and shoes this sub offers seem more age-appropriate too.
