The description on this has to be corrected, Freefall is for the 12 free nail polish on sign up but it says 8 items and has a photo of two nail polishes and something else. Also, I didn’t get any welcome gift when I signed up so don’t know if that is true for everyone or if I just missed out on it. Can someone from MSA let me know if I should contact Julep about this “welcome package”….thanks! I love this site for all the spoilers and coupons…saves me money and time to not subscribe or to subscribe.

Hi Tia!

Sorry about this! I just tested the link/coupon code and I’m still getting the FREEFALL 12-piece nail polish free offer. Can you email me a screenshot of what you’re seeing so I can try to figure it out? ([email protected])

Thanks!

So happy to see a full size Ultraviolet eyeliner from the Cheers to Five Years mini set! I hope a full size Galaxy Black shows up soon, too. I normally don’t like how black eyeliner looks on me, but that one is really flattering.

Oh, in case anyone has trouble figuring out if a Julep polish is similar to one they already own, this site is really helpful: julep dot ariaevans dot org

I skipped my first box last month and I might skip this month too. I hope I don’t regret that 3 month sub I bought. I really loved the 12 free polishes but I think these spring colors are just not for me.

I always love my Julep box, but I do feel like this box has a few repeats. The confetti polishes are similar to last year’s, as is the pink/purple jelly. Since there are only 6 polishes this month, that’s not a lot of new stuff. While I really like Julep’s makeup, it feels like they are neglecting the polishes. 🙁

There is such a unicorn/ iridescent/ highlighted trend right now in makeup, and I think it would be great to have some fantasy nails that echo that shine and fun. I do feel like Julep’s playing it safe with nail colors at a time when fashion is very much about exploration and colt.

Color. And this was meant to be a standalone post haha.

I have a love/hate relationship with Julep. I LOVE almost all of their nail polish colors and most of their eyeliners. I HATE that they put out too many things that I love and feel that I have to buy. This month I’ll probably get all the nail colors, the ultraviolet eyeliner and at least one of the eyeshadow duos. It’s a good thing hubby’s on mandatory 6-day weeks!

I’ve been getting the “whole shebang” add on each month which is 65 but you get everything!!! I get about a 300 value for only 65 bucks! I also have a love/hate relationship with julep cause i feel like i have to get the whole collection if there’s more than 3 or 4 nail colors that i like plus whatever beauty product they come out with. I can’t wait to get the uv blue eyeliner, and the new shadows are nice too. But i found getting the whole shebang(set) is cheaper and well worth the money plus whatever i don’t use, i give as gifts. It’s sad, i could probably open up my own julep pop up store….

Did I miss the free box coupon on this page somewhere? Thinking about subscribing to this box….

At the end of the post, it’s the FREEFALL deal for 12 free polishes. Hope that helps!

Not into any of the nail polishes this month. Do really want that ultraviolet eyeliner though. I dunno, guys, do you think purple would look good on asian eyes? Might also grab one of the eyeshadow duos.

Reply ButtonReply

Julia

I guess it would depend on your skin tone. I think it looks more purple-ish against the lighter skin. It looks great on everyone, but it looks a bit more blue on the darker, warmer skin colors. If you have any eyeshadow close to that color, you can always apply it as a liner to see if you like the look.

That shade of blue/purple is very flattering to most skin tones imo and unlikely to look bad, so I’d go for it. Colorful eyeliner will probably go out of fashion someday soon, so enjoy it while it lasts!

Marion

I’m kind of disappointed by how “safe” all these colors are. Looks like I’ll be skipping.

Samantha

I think I’ll do the light blue polish, ultraviolet eyeliner (not like I need more eyeliner, and I even own purple eyeliner, but that shade is very pretty!), and maybe the auburn and mushroom shimmer. I also wish they would do more exciting eyeshadow and lip colors, but these three items look pretty good to me.

Dinah

Ok, that ultraviolet eyeliner looks beautiful! ! The only nail color that appeals to me is the first one, sheer pink. The eyeshadows are pretty neutral. I really like how the iced Chai and the cinder look.

Rosemary

I’m saving my jules until they bring out some lip products with serious glitter or shimmer. I don’t know why they don’t make prettier lip products.
Still, they excel at their polish colors, and their gel liners are great, too.

Hillary

So excited for the ultraviolet eyeliner! Might do that and maybe one of the facial oils.

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

I really like the sheerness of the 1st modeled polish, and I also really like the solid pink polish that’s modeled. It looks like it’ll be mostly pink for me this month. 🙂

Linda

That one looks exactly like Ming from the jelly collection. Since its older you can probably find it cheap

Reply ButtonReply

Ximena

It is Ming.

Go to their site, and go to Collections, all the names are up for April2017.

But it’s not on sale right now, so if you like it get it! Lucky-I am just super underwhelmed by this month ‘s selections. As I was and have been the last couple of months :/

Luna

I just checked my spreadsheet where I have all of my Julep listed, and I don’t have Ming, so I’m glad to see I won’t be duplicating. 🙂 I can’t wait to see what the other options are to customize the box.

Marion

That’s what I thought, too. Even the glitters are similar to ones from last spring.

Ragan

Easy decision this month. The two confetti/glitter polishes and the eyeliner in ultraviolet.

I really need to start painting my nails again. I have like 300 or 400 polishes just sitting there.

Liz Cadman

Those confetti polishes are so pretty! I hate the extra hassle of removing glitter polish, but I don’t think I’ll be able to resist them!

Melissa

Or use a peel-off base coat. I really like the UNT ready for takeoff brand but I will admitt that it’s not great if you want you polish to last for days since it can have the tendency of just slidding right off.

Ragan

Get a Sephora (store brand) “Instant Nail Polish Remover.” Makes it way easier to get glitter off. (Also easier to remove other polishes.)
