FittedTot Subscription Box Review + Coupon – February 2017

This post may contain referral/affiliate links. Read the full disclosure.

FittetTot-February-2017-Box

FittedTot is a children’s clothing rental subscription. They offer clothing for children’s sizes 3 months through 5T.

When you sign up, you answer some basic questions (boy/girl, sizing, season, etc). Then you receive a box with 3 play outfits, 1 premium outfit or dress, and 1 pair of pajamas. All the clothing comes to you pre-washed in Dreft (hypoallergenic detergent).

There are no fees if something happens and the clothing gets damaged or stained while your child is wearing it. They ask that you send the item back and they’ll try to get the stain out or repair it. If they can’t, it gets recycled.

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

This review is of the Winter Chill, $44.99 a month, box for one child.

The box I was sent to review was for a girl sized 4T. If you fall in love with any of the outfits they send you’re welcome to keep them and pay a deeply discounted rate to do so. Just hold onto any items you want to keep and return the rest in the pre-addressed mailer envelope with postage already paid.

Panda Top and Leggings Set – Cost to keep: $14.98

This sequined panda shirt was so sparkly and fun. My daughter loved it. The shirt is slightly cropped with dolman styled sleeves. The black and white patterned tights fit well and were stretchy. I couldn’t believe this top was used; it was sparkling white and was in great shape.

Owl Long Sleeve T – Cost to keep: $5.47

This owl t-shirt fit my daughter well and was also in fabulous condition especially for being white! Having two young kids I don’t buy white very often because it doesn’t stay new looking for long in this house.

Gray Joggers – $5.47

My daughter loves soft stretchy joggers and leggings and these fit and matched the owl shirt well.

FittetTot-February-2017-Pajamas

Polka Dot Flannel PJs – Cost to keep: $7.50

These Juicy Couture pajamas were adorable! The gold buttons down the front added a nice touch. These are much fancier than the cotton stretchy pajamas we normally buy and my daughter liked the polka dot print very much.

Sweater, Skirt & Leg Warmer Set – Cost to keep: $11.00

Adorable! This sweater knit skirt with the buttons down the front and matching legwarmers are just too cute for words. The ribbed red sweater was cozy and went perfectly with the skirt. I think $11.00 to keep this outfit is a fantastic price!

White Patterned Sweater – Cost to keep: $10.00

This sweater had a patterned overlay and slightly sparkly threads on the sleeves and back. It was a little loose and long, perfect for wearing over jeggings or tights.

Dark Jeggings – Cost to keep: $8.48

We can always use another pair of dark blue jeggings and these have just the right amount of stretch. They’ll match everything and my daughter thought they were comfortable too.

Verdict: We loved our first FittedTot box. It’s a great idea to have a clothing rental service for young children that change sizes so rapidly. It can be frustrating to buy 5 pairs of pants for your child and a month later they have a growth spurt and the pants no longer fit. All of the clothes arrived clean and fit well. My daughter had fun trying on her new outfits and the ease of mailing everything back (or keeping the items at very low prices) made this a wonderful box for us to try.

  1. Is there a similar service for older kids? My daughter is 8, and this sounds fun.

    • I don’t know of a clothing rental service for older kids, sorry!

  2. These are very cute outfits and the price to buy is reasonable! Your daughter is an absolute doll too…they’re so fun to dress up!

I’ll have a newborn boy in a few days, so I think the rental would not work out great until he gets a bit older. But definitely will be interested in the future.

    • Thank you! She is a ton of fun to dress up. Congratulations on your son (soon)!

  3. Is there a deadline for mailing back the clothing? Or can you rent them until you decide to swap them out again?

    • Hi Caroline,

No deadline, but you’ll get more value out of wearing and returning more often. It’s a Netflix style subscription for kids clothes. As soon as you return the clothes a new shipment is sent, but there is no deadline to return.

      Thanks for the question!

  4. Super cute outfits! But $45 seems steep to me and then buying the clothes on top of it? I could go to Carters and get like 4 outfits for less money. Maybe it’s just my bargain hunter side coming out, I never pay full retail for any clothes, especially not kids clothes. I just got my niece brand new tshirts from Old Navy for $2.50/each.
