The theme for February 2017 is New Favorites!
The box came with a little magazine listing all the items included. There are 5 items total.
Neko Atsume Reusable Shopping Bag
As a former Neko Atsume addict, I was excited to see this in the box! This reusable shopping bag is available in yellow or pink. The pink design features an assortment of the cats doing adorable cat things like napping, hugging a ball, and putting their head in a paper bag! This bag is a great size for a quick grocery store run and the material feels sturdy enough for a few hefty items.
The tiny storage bag for the shopping bag is also so cute! This little bag is only a few inches wide and has a snap closure at the top, making it the perfect size to toss in a purse.
Shinada Fumofumo-san Plush
One of my favorites items in my box was this HUGE plushie! There were 8 variations pictured in the information booklet but the booklet mentioned there are 24 Fumofumo-san variations total! They all look very different but have the same long torsos, long arms, and short legs. They’re supposed to have therapeutic powers and judging from how soft this was, I have to agree. I received this cute blue guy! The booklet included a page dedicated to the plushies, where they mentioned YumeTwins commitment to higher quality items. This is definitely the nicest plushie I’ve received in a YumeTwins box so far.
This plushie has “10th anniversary” and a cloud embroidered on his belly.
He also has a cute, tiny tail!
AMUSE Cat a la Mode Keychain
This bejeweled cat/dessert is so cute. My cat looks like a donut from the front but looks like a little cookie sandwich from the side. And it’s wearing a little bow tie! I love how sweet this little cat looks and the construction feels pretty sturdy. I don’t feel too worried about any jewels falling off. My keychain collection is growing every month so I’ve put this on the zipper of my boring brown wallet to add some cuteness there!
Bananya Mini-mascot Keychain
I hadn’t heard of Bananya before this box but I’m so glad I know about it now! It’s an anime about a cat that lives inside of a banana! This is so silly but of course, completely adorable. I only watched one episode so far but it’s basically a cartoon where cats are doing catlike things around a house…they just happen to be in bananas! I received the black cat, Kuro Bananya, but there were 5 variations of this item. This keychain is as cute as the show and I’m so happy I was introduced to this anime!
Sumikko Gurashi Wall Hook
There were four variations available for this wall hook. This item featured Sumikko Gurashi characters from San-X. Sumikko Gurashi translates to “corner living” and these characters are very shy! These characters tend to appear together, usually piled up in a corner, but now they stand alone on their wall hook. There were four possible variations and I received the penguin.
The hook is clear so you can see your shy character really well. I don’t think I’ll be using this to hold anything too heavy because it is a little small. Right now I’m using it to hang and display some of the cute keychains I’ve acquired through this box!
Verdict: YumeTwins is always a fun box for me and I really loved this revamped version. You do receive fewer items but I do think the quality is better. I loved the big plushie and I liked the little wall hook. The keychains included in this subscription are always super cute and this month even introduced me to a new show! The bag was also a great addition because it’s both adorable and really useful. I’m really enjoying this new version of YumeTwins!
