Wantable Accessories is one of several different subscription boxes offered by Wantable, including Wantable Intimates, Style Edit, Fashion Edit, and Makeup. At the beginning of the subscription, you fill out a fairly in-depth questionnaire to customize what you will receive in your box. Wantable also accepts returns on any item you don’t like, so you get a retail value as well as “your” price that you will be refunded if you return an item.

This shows my preferences based on the questionnaire I filled out at the beginning of the subscription. They promise to not send you anything you dislike and to send more of what you love. Plus I can change them at any time!

Sasha Wristlet – Retail $36, My Price $14.90

I really like this wristlet! It’s a soft faux-leather with a single zipper pocket inside. I love that it’s roomier than most wristlets – phone-keys-wallet-lipstick will be no problem. It’s perfect for a night out!

Sherri Necklace – Retail $17, My price $7.03

I love this necklace! It’s so simple and shiny, but also elegant and eye catching. I can see myself wearing this a lot.

Gigi Earrings – Retail $18, My Price $7.45

I love these earrings, too! They are big enough to catch some attention, but not too heavy. They are also shiny and match the necklace!

Petra Earrings – Retail $16, My Price $6.62

I love these earrings, too! Wow! I love bigger studs, and the design of these is very cool. Plus these are a really shiny silver like the other pieces!

Verdict: I love Wantable Accessories, and this month was a grand slam! Four pieces I love! The next time I have a night out, accessorizing will be a no-brainer! I love that all the pieces go together so well, too. The retail value for all the items combined is $87, which is fantastic for a $36 box!

What do you think of Wantable Accessories? What did you get this month?

  1. It looks like new members aren’t given the option anymore to get this version of the accessories box. Instead, it says they’re merging it with Style Edit, with the same rules — a $20 monthly styling fee, which is deducted from the price of items that are not returned. It doesn’t sound like as good a deal, really, but I’d be interested to see a review of the new accessories style edit, since it’s not allowing new accounts to register otherwise.

    • I just discovered the same thing when I tried to subscribe. I already get makeup and intimates. I have seen a few style edit reviews and they are a bit pricey for me. I wonder if by mixing in accessories, the average cost per edit will come down a little?

    • I’m not happy with that, if they dump the seperate Accessories altogether. I had a choice on Style Edit to include accessories or not and I chose not to. The accessories people have gotten in their Style boxes have been a lot more expensive (I can’t speak to quality), in the $30-$40 range per piece. As it is, I am finding their Style Edit to be higher priced than I care for, even if I like the items. Although, they do price match and I did find a pair of pants 1/4 the price at a store. It has given me a list of brands to check out.

    • Unfortunately, this is no longer available for existing members either. After two years of receiving this box I got an email this morning that my subscription would be converted to a Style Edit. I checked this morning, and they had converted it–so I cancelled it.

The thing is, I had the box amount budgeted each month. For around $40.00 I could count on receiving a handful of accessories. There were always a few things I liked and what I didn’t like I gave away.

I’m not at all interested in paying $20.00 to see if I like some items and then paying an unknown amount to purchase what I like.

      Very disappointed…

  2. Wantable did a good job curating this box! It looks like a cohesive set!

  3. Hi Anna! I’m thinking about expanding my (pretty small) jewelry collection, and I have been following your reviews. 🙂 I would love it if you could answer any of these questions:

    – I see that you selected rings in your survey. Do you let them know your ring size? Do you know if they ever send out rings in larger sizes? (A lot of places seem to stop at size 9)

    – Can you skip a month if you feel overloaded on accessories?

    – Do you ever get stainless steel / nickel-free jewelry? Have you had any quality issues like skin turning green?

I apologize for all the questions! Thanks!

    • Not Anna, but I can answer some of these!

      – I’ve requested rings in size 9 & 10, but only received 9. They give you an option (at least when I signed up) asking if you want to receive unsized/expandable rings.

      – You can skip.

      – Usually the materials of the jewelry are not provided by Wantable. The only time I’ve ever been told what a jewelry item was made out of was the month where they REALLY wanted me to know that my necklace was actually sterling silver this time.

      • Thank you so much! I’m glad to hear you can skip. I’m still on the fence because of the metals – I have a nickel allergy and can only wear that jewelery sparingly. Unfortunately, most jewelry in my price range contains nickel. So I typically wear a pair of earrings for one day and then have to leave them out for the next few because my ears get swollen and itchy. 🙁

        • Hi! I’ve heard of people having success with wearing earrings that irritate their skin by first covering the parts exposed to your ear with clear nail polish. Some friends also coat the post before wearing with neosporin. Just a thought! I can’t say if it works because I don’t have an allergy to nickel but if you haven’t tried that before maybe it’ll jump start an internet search for ya!

          • I have heard that before, and I think it would work for rings. I’m a little hesitant when it comes to earrings, because I don’t want them to slip out of my ear! I’ll give it a shot, though! Thanks! 🙂 I have some really “cheap” taste in jewelery, like brightly colored shapes, that you don’t really find at more expensive places anyway.

        • This is all cheaper jewelry and I would assume it has nickle or something else that would irritate you. The prices are very low.

The prices for the accessories now being added to the Style edit are much higher, but I haven’t gotten any of those, so I can’t tell if they are hypoallergenic.
