Now, onto the items!

Trifle Cosmetics Sponge Bronzer – Value $19

So-Susan-February-2016-0013

This matte bronzer is super pigmented and gives a deep color with several swipes. It’s a great contouring bronzer for me – easy to blend, and a little goes a long way.

Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics Supercharged Super Intense Eye Shadow Duo – Value $23

So-Susan-February-2016-0009

Again, this makeup item has amazing pigment! This shimmer in these shadows is fantastic, too!

So Susan Cosmetics Liquid Matte Long-Wear Liquid Lipstick in Moon Nude – Value $12

So-Susan-February-2016-0018

This item is the only miss for me this month. The formula itself is great, but this color is like applying concealer on my lips – not a good look for me! (I may end up using it as a concealer, though!)

Here it is swatched below the bronzer and eyeshadows:

So Susan Lip Brush – Value $15

So-Susan-February-2016-0016

I’m always happy to get more makeup brushes in subscription boxes, and this lip brush is a good quality one, too!

Limited Edition Makeup Bag – Value $12

So-Susan-February-2016-0006

Every month includes a makeup bag. In the past, the bags have been canvas, but this one is a water/spill proof plastic material. I really liked the canvas bags, but I think I like this version even more – it’s very practical for makeup! And it is lined inside!

Verdict: This month’s So Susan Lip Love bag has a value of about $81! I think that value is fantastic for a $21 ingredient-conscious beauty subscription box. Even though the liquid lipstick was a miss for me, I’m still really happy with the $21 cost for the bronzer, eyeshadow, lip brush and makeup bag!

If you are looking for a vegan, ingredient conscious makeup subscription, I can’t recommend this one enough. The value is great, the formulas are great, and the bonus bag is always super cute!

  1. Does the LIPLOVE1 coupon give you a free bag that includes items inside or is it just the bag itself? This is on my list to subscribe to =)

  2. I also got the Pugs lipstick in a bag and I was so impressed I signed up for this sub just to get more. I thought the color was beautiful, very pigmented and longlasting. I did end my sub when the bags became so hit and miss, for me but I want to start it again. Thinking about dumping Birchbox and Ipsy for this one. decisions decisions.

  3. This is a wonderful subscription bag! Love to get it each month! Love the products, especially the lip butters and the eye shadows. The products are good quality

  4. I might get this subcription next month.

    • Same here….Been eyeing it forever it seems!

  5. I think that the liquid lipstick is to achieve the gradient lip look?

    • I agree. They have an ombré/gradient look on their FB, so it must be that…

      • I was thinking the same!!!

  6. I love this bag this one will be my 4th or 5th and even on the rare occasion I don’t love the product the packaging is so cute it doesn’t matter. I’m so sold on their packaging my only miss this month is I think it’s a first without one of their cute packaged lipsticks. Please Lip Love (So Susan) please put the Paris lipstick in your next bag it’s so awesome. Sometimes I think it would be smarter for me to just buy the lip products I want instead of the whole sub. I’m missing in order of faves Paris, Butterfly’s,Flamingo’s, and the Pugs. For anyone who hasn’t saw their lipsticks you need to go to their website they have Balloons, Parrots, and Owls and whatever sold out ones I’ve missed. Love their bags so much!!!

    • OMG they had pugs on a lipstick?!! There’s my unicorn. I need to tell myself BEFORE I head to eBay that I am not paying $50 for a lipstick, no matter how cute the packaging is.

      • I got that one (pug) from Glossybox. It did not have a good formula.

        • Oh man, that’s too bad, thanks for the warning! I wonder if all their lipsticks are like that or just the one? I’ve run into some companies that most products of a certain type are great, but one color the quality just isn’t there for whatever reason. I found quite a few people looking to swap it away, so I’ll go that route.

        • Yeah the formula didnt have good coverage, so patchy. I ended up melting the lipstick and pouring into an empty eos lip balm sphere to use as a quick blush for my gym bag. THEN i pulled the bullet out of a lipstick i did like and placed it in the adorable Pug tube. Since the packaging is so cute, for the first time ever ive actually used a lipstick past the pointy tip part! 😁

  7. I haven’t received my bag yet but I’m really not sure who that lipstick would look good on. It looks like a pale beigey-yellow. I’m a freckled Irish woman so a yellowy nude is well, going up for swap…hahaha I do love this bag though.

  8. Super cute packaging and interesting products. Thanks for reviewing; I hadn’t seen this box before.

  9. This is my first month, and I’m happy already, even though I don’t do bronzer, and thought the liquid lippie would probably be a pass for me, too. As always, I’m so happy to see swatches so mine can stay sealed if it won’t work for me. Thank you again for that, and for the swap side of MSA.

Also, I realized that this bag isn’t listed under Makeup subscriptions — which would explain why I’d never noticed it before seeing last month’s review!
